RETURNING FROM LEAVE(S). A. A teacher shall not earn sick leave, personal leave or service credit on the salary schedule (increment) while on any approved unpaid leave. The leave shall not constitute a break in service, however, and the teacher shall resume the sick leave and service credit which he or she had accumulated immediately before beginning the leave. Any employee on a leave of absence for an entire school year shall notify the Superintendent's office in writing by March 1st of that school year that they intend to return to their position with the District. If notification is not received by March 1st, the district will send a notice to the employee by March 5th, by certified letter, that if a notice of intent to return to their position is not received by March 15th, the employee is deemed to have resigned from the employment of the District.

RETURNING FROM LEAVE(S). (a) When an Employee returns to work following involuntary leave of absence (FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, approved Disability claim) within twelve (12) weeks, he/she will be reinstated to his/her former position and shift with seniority.
RETURNING FROM LEAVE(S). Professional educators returning from a prearranged sabbatical, maternity, military, or sick leave or other non-teaching assignment (e.g. literacy/language arts coaches) shall be placed in the same position in the same school in which they were previously teaching, if they so request at the time of leaving and if it is administratively possible.

  • Return from Leaves An Employee returning from a leave of absence shall return to his/her former position and location he/she held at the time of the leave unless he/she has been laid off or displaced in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Agreement.

  • Recall from Vacation Leave Where, during any period of vacation leave, an employee is recalled to duty, such employee shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses, as normally defined by the Employer, that such employee incurs:

  • Return from Leave An employee on maternity or parental leave pursuant to Articles 20.1 and 20.2 shall provide the Employer with at least one (1) month’s written notice. On return from leave, an employee shall be placed in her former position or where the position no longer exists in a position of equal rank and basic pay.

  • Reinstatement from Leave Upon completion of a leave of absence, the employee is to be returned to the position formerly occupied, or to a similar position if the employee's former position no longer exists. Any replacement in the position while an employee is on leave is to be on a temporary basis.

  • Recall from Vacation The Employer will make every reasonable effort not to recall an Employee to duty after she has proceeded on vacation leave or to cancel vacation once it has been approved.

  • Union Leave of Absence An employee on an unpaid Union leave of absence shall have her wages, benefits and seniority continued by the Employer, and the Union agrees to reimburse the Employer for the costs of such wages and benefits. Employees requesting leave under this article will provide the Employer with as much advance notice as possible of the dates of the leave. Where there are less than fifteen (15) regular employees at a workstation at the time the leave request is submitted, and subject to operational requirements, unpaid Union leave of absence will be granted to one employee for the purpose of conducting Union business. This would be an additional person on Union leave at worksites where the position of the Union President or Council member has been backfilled for the duration of their term of office. A leave of absence without pay shall be granted to an employee who is a member of the Union and who is:

  • General Leave of Absence a) Leave of absence without pay may be granted to employees for valid reasons as set out by Company policy.
