Route Coverage. When the Company requests that a driver fill in on a temporary basis as a cover driver for illness, or other absence on another route, the driver will be paid the greater of the run route value. It is at the option of the driver to do the temporary work or not. A newly hired employee shall be on probation for a period of sixty (60) working days from the date first worked. After completion of the probationary period seniority shall be effective from the original date first worked, except when two (2) or more employees commence work on the date, the names will be placed in alphabetical order. An employee shall not lose seniority rights if he is absent from work because of sickness, accident, layoff, family related problems, or leave of absence approved by the employer. An employee shall only lose his seniority rights in the event of: He is discharged for just cause and is not reinstated. He resigns in writing. He is absent from work in excess of three (3) working days without sufficient cause or without notifying the employer, unless such notice was not reasonably possible. He fails to return to work within seven (7) working days following a layoff and after being notified by registered mail to do so. It shall be the responsibility of the employee to keep the Company informed of his current address. An employee recalled for casual work or for employment of short duration, at a time when he is employed elsewhere, shall not lose his recall rights for refusal to return to work.   • Insurance Coverage The Company and each Subsidiary maintains in full force and effect insurance coverage that is customary for comparably situated companies for the business being conducted and properties owned or leased by the Company and each Subsidiary, and the Company reasonably believes such insurance coverage to be adequate against all liabilities, claims and risks against which it is customary for comparably situated companies to insure.

  • Coverage If any of the aforementioned liability insurance is arranged on a "claims made" basis, "tail" coverage will be required at the completion of this contract for a duration of 24 months or the maximum time period the PURCHASER's insurer will provide such if less than 24 months. PURCHASER will be responsible for furnishing certification of "tail" coverage as described or continuous "claims made" liability coverage for 24 months following contract completion. Continuous "claims made" coverage will be acceptable in lieu of "tail" coverage, provided its retroactive date is on or before the effective date of this contract.
