Rules Applicable to both Childbearing and Childrearing Leave a. For the birthing parent the entire length of combined Childbearing and Childrearing leave shall not exceed 18 months. For the non-birthing parent, the length of childrearing leave shall not exceed 18 months.

  • Child Rearing Leave 12.7 If a teacher does not desire to return to her position as soon as she is physically able to do so, following the birth of a child, or a father wishes to remain home to rear a newborn child, he/she may apply for a child rearing leave of absence under the following conditions:

  • Personal/Carer’s Leave a) Personal/carer’s leave is defined in accordance with Section 244 of the Act and includes paid sick leave (accrued under the AFPCS) and paid or unpaid carer’s leave (accrued under the AFPCS). Casual employees shall have no entitlement to paid personal/carer’s leave.
