Salary Holdback. During the teaching years of the plan the Teacher shall be paid a percentage of the salary and allowances to which the Teacher is otherwise entitled in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The salary shall be placed in an individual trust account in the name of the Teacher. Interest paid on the trust account shall be the prime rate less 2% as established from time to time by the Employer’s chartered bank. Any interest must be paid to the individual in the taxation year in which it is earned. Such interest is treated as income for the purpose of the Income Tax Act and shall be paid by December 31 in each year. A statement of each Teacher’s account will be issued at the end of each school year.

  • Salary Deductions Salaried employees (E-level classifications) who are permanently assigned to full-time job classifications are paid on a bi-weekly salary basis. Salaried employees are paid a bi-weekly salary based on a minimum of two (2) forty (40) hour workweeks. The bi-weekly salary received by salaried employees will not be reduced regardless of the number of hours the salaried employee actually works in any week in which the salaried employee performs any work except for the following deductions:

  • - Separation Allowances (a) Where an employee resigns within 30 days after receiving notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) that his or her position will be eliminated, he or she shall be entitled to a separation allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of continuous service to a maximum of twelve (12) weeks' pay, and, on production of receipts from an approved educational program, within twelve (12) months of resignation, may be reimbursed for tuition fees up to a maximum of three thousand ($3,000) dollars.

  • Salary Adjustment The salary of an employee returning from uncompensated leave shall be adjusted to reflect all non-discretionary increases distributed during the period of leave. While on such leave, an employee shall be eligible to participate in any special salary incentive programs.
