Scheduling of Breaks a) Meal and rest breaks may be staggered between Employees to meet operational requirements as determined by the Company. b) The meal and rest breaks will be generally scheduled to divide the working day into three approximately equal in length work periods. c) If an Employee‟s morning rest or meal break is delayed for more than ½ hour beyond the usual scheduled time they will receive payment at overtime rates until the break is taken.

Scheduling of Breaks. The scheduling of rest periods must take into consideration the needs of the department and the public service desks, as determined by the Library Director or his/her designee.
Scheduling of Breaks. Breaks will be scheduled by the employee’s supervisor based upon operational requirements so as to ensure continuity of operations. The employer will not require an employee to work more than 5 hours before their first meal break or between subsequent meal breaks, if any.

Scheduling of Breaks. For all Departments other than Aviation, the parties agree that the current practice with regard to breaks, with respect to the grant and duration of such breaks by each Department, shall continue during the term of this Agreement. With respect to the Department of Aviation, on a monthly basis (or other increment of time as determined by the Department), the Commissioner of Aviation shall designate a level of performance, as measured by attendance, tardiness, or other reasonable indicia of job performance. As long as bargaining unit employees in the Department, considered in the aggregate, meet, or exceed the designated level of performance, the employees shall be entitled to a fifteen (15) minute break during their scheduled work hours. The Department and the Union shall agree on a mechanism for scheduling the break. If employees do not meet the level of performance, the granting of the break shall be discontinued until such time as the employees do meet or exceed the designated level, in which case the break shall be reinstated. The Union shall be entitled, upon request, to meet with the Department to verify whether the level of performance has been met.

  • Scheduling i) The designated employer will provide the employee with their schedule of shifts in accordance with the collective agreement for both homes. An employee will only be scheduled in one home per shift. iii) Overtime payment and other premiums will be in accordance with the collective agreement of the designated employer. iv) Weekends off, consecutive work days and all other scheduling provisions will be in accordance with the collective agreement at the designated employer.

  • Self Scheduling The Home and the Union may agree to implement a self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling is the mechanism by which employees in a Home create their own work schedules. The purpose of self scheduling is to improve job satisfaction and quality of work life for the participating employees. Self scheduling requires a collaboration of employees and management to ensure proper coverage of the Home and to meet the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that self scheduling will be negotiated locally by the Home and the Union and will include a trial period. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis.
