SEB Before Leave. If the M&P staff member chooses to receive SEB Plan benefits during the leave, EI pays a fixed percentage based on their calculation of prior insurable earnings and UBC pays the difference between the EI payment and 95% of salary. The additional 5% of the total salary for the period the employee was receiving SEB Plan benefits is payable after the employee has returned to work for at least six (6) months.
