Section 3. Notice of Layoff. 2 a. A written notice of layoff shall be given to affected 3 employees no less than sixty (60) calendar days prior to the 4 effective date of the layoff, which shall be defined as the date the 5 Governing Board firmly establishes as the date the employees are 6 to be laid off. SEIU shall be given a complete list of all proposed 7 layoffs of bargaining unit members as soon as practicable after the 8 preliminary decision by administration has been made, and prior 9 to layoff notices being sent to affected bargaining unit members.

Section 3. Notice of Layoff. Full-time employees not on initial probation shall be given written notice of layoff no less than fourteen (14) calendar days in advance of the effective date of the layoff.

  • Notice of Layoff The Employer shall make every reasonable effort under the circumstances to provide affected employees with at least fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice prior to the contemplated effective date of a layoff.

  • Advance Notice of Layoff The Employer shall notify employees who are to be laid off four (4) weeks prior to the effective date of layoff. If the employee has not had the opportunity to work the days as provided in this article, they shall be paid for the days for which work was not made available.
