Selection of Union Stewards. CSEA will designate the method of selection of Union Stewards. CSEA will notify the district in writing of the names of not more than eight (8) Union Stewards and the group or groups they represent. If a change is made, the district (director, human resources) will be advised in writing of such change.

Selection of Union Stewards. CSEA shall have the right to designate up to one union xxxxxxx per eighty (80) Unit Members, rounded to the nearest whole number, from among Unit Members in the bargaining unit. The CSEA President or designee shall notify the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in writing of the names of the designated union stewards, the worksite from which each is appointed, and the area of primary responsibility for which each has been appointed. A union xxxxxxx’x “area of primary responsibility” means an institution, office or building. The parties recognize that occasionally, as circumstances warrant, it may be necessary for CSEA to assign duties to a union xxxxxxx outside the union xxxxxxx’x designated primary area of responsibility. If a change in designated union stewards is made, the CSEA President shall notify the Vice Chancellor of Human Resources in writing within five (5) working days of such change.
Selection of Union Stewards. CSEA reserves the right to train and designate Union Xxxxxxx from among the employees of the unit. CSEA shall notify the District in writing of the name of each Union Xxxxxxx. CSEA shall designate three (3) Union Stewards, who shall be entitled to utilize paid release time in accordance with the requirements set forth in section 7.3 below. All other Union Stewards shall perform their representative duties during non-work time, i.e. before or after work, during lunch and other break periods. If a change is made in Union Stewards, CSEA shall notify the District in writing within 24 hours.

Clause 2.07 The Employer shall, for direct collective bargaining prior to Conciliation, pay the normal wages and benefits for maximum of three (3) employees who are members of the Union Negotiating Committee for a total of one hundred and twenty (120) hours and thereafter pay fifty percent (50%) of normal wages and full benefits.
