Seniority Date, Probation. Seniority of employees covered by this agreement shall be determined in the following manner: probationary period new employees, including substitutes, shall be on probation during the first sixty (60) days worked or one (1) calendar year from date of hire, whichever is earlier. Probation period may be extended with mutual consent of both parties based on job evaluation. During this period they have no seniority and may be discharged by the Board without assigning any cause therefore. Upon completion of the probationary period their names shall be placed on the seniority list with seniority based on date of completion of probation period. No seniority status exists during probationary period. It is further understood that the Union will not be a representative of any employee during his/her probationary period. The order of seniority for new employees hired on the same day shall be determined by lot. The present order of seniority shall remain as of this date.

Upon completion of the probationary period their names shall be placed on the seniority list WITH SENORITY BASED ON DATE OF COMPLETION OF PROBATIONARY PERIOD. No seniority status exists during probationary period. It is further understood that the Union will not be a representative of any employee during his/her probationary period. The order of seniority for new employees hired on the same day shall be determined using the last digit of their social security numbers, with the highest number considered highest seniority. The present order of seniority shall remain as of this date.

  • Seniority Date Employees shall acquire seniority upon completion of the probationary period as defined in Article XIII and upon acquiring seniority, the seniority date shall relate back to the first date of continuous service in the bargaining unit. If more than one employee commences work on the same date, lot shall determine seniority ranking for such employees. A District-Wide seniority list will be provided for the exclusive representative no later than November 1 of each year.

  • Seniority Dates Upon request, the Employer agrees to make available to the Union the seniority dates of any employees covered by this Agreement. Such seniority dates shall be subject to correction for error on proper representation by the Union.

  • Seniority Tie Breaker The Employer and the Union agree that where there is a tie in seniority between two or more Employees, a determination of seniority shall be made in the following manner:

  • Seniority Frozen When an Agency intends to initiate a layoff, the Agency will notify the Union in writing that all seniority will be frozen from the date of notice for a period not to exceed three (3) months. However, during the period when seniority is frozen, the employee will continue to accumulate time towards seniority for purposes of future computations. The three (3) month freeze may be extended by mutual written agreement of the Union and the Agency.

  • Seniority Roster The District shall maintain an updated seniority roster, indicating employee's class seniority and hire date seniority. Such rosters shall be available to CSEA.

  • Reaching Agreement When agreement is reached covering the areas under discussion, the proposed Agreement shall be reduced in writing as a memorandum of understanding and signed by a representative of each negotiating team. Agreement on individual items during the negotiations is binding only when all items are agreed upon. Procedures for ratification of the Agreement by the Association and the Board shall be completed within ten (10) school days after the conclusion of negotiations.

  • Optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement Traffic (5) special access, private line, Frame Relay, ATM, or any other traffic that is not switched by the terminating Party; (6) Tandem Transit Traffic; (7) Voice Information Service Traffic (as defined in Section 5 of the Additional Services Attachment); or, (8) Virtual Foreign Exchange Traffic (or V/FX Traffic) (as defined in the Interconnection Attachment). For the purposes of this definition, a Verizon local calling area includes a Verizon non-optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement, but does not include a Verizon optional Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement.

  • Seniority Retention Laid off employees shall retain their seniority accumulated up to the time of layoff as follows:

  • Extended Local Calling Scope Arrangement An arrangement that provides a Customer a local calling scope (Extended Area Service, “EAS”), outside of the Customer’s basic exchange serving area.
