Seniority Retention. Laid off employees shall retain their seniority accumulated up to the time of layoff as follows: (a) If laid off after three (3) months’ continuous employment – up to three (3) months; or (b) If laid off after twelve (12) or more months’ continuous employment – up to one (1) year.

Seniority Retention. Employees in the bargaining unit who accept positions which are outside of the bargaining unit shall continue to accrue bargaining unit seniority for a maximum of six (6) months.
Seniority Retention. (a) A laid-off employee shall retain his seniority and recall rights with the Company for twelve (12) months after the date of lay-off. (b) If a laid-off employee is called back to work with the Company within his right to recall period, there shall be deemed to have been no break in such an employee's continuous service with the Company by reason of such lay-off.

(b) An employee shall lose seniority for any of the following reasons: (i) On voluntarily leaving the service of the Board. (ii) If discharged for proper cause, and is not reinstated. (iii) If continuously laid off for a period exceeding the qualifications under Clauses (a)(i) and (a)(ii) of this Article.
