Seniority for Bumping. For purposes of bumping, seniority shall include the service in the class in which the reemployment occurs and in higher related classes in which class the employee holds the highest seniority.

Seniority for Bumping. For purposes of bumping, seniority shall include the total years of service in the classification in which the layoff occurred, plus previous service in a higher classification. Employees hired prior to July 1, 2010 will maintain their seniority based on previous hours in classification, but will not accrue additional hours after that date. Employees may bump into an equal or lower classification in which they previously served.

This information will include a description of 27 the position, the location, hours, and special needs. The name 28 of a contact person who can discuss the position will also be 29 included.

  • Seniority Frozen When an Agency intends to initiate a layoff, the Agency will notify the Union in writing that all seniority will be frozen from the date of notice for a period not to exceed three (3) months.
