Seniority Vacation. Vacation requests for the peak period May to September submitted prior to February 15th of the Calendar year will be granted in accordance with departmental and plant wide seniority and production demands. The Company agrees to provide a written response to each of the vacation requests submitted by February 15th on or before March 15th. The Company will also post a vacation calendar on the employee bulletin board on or before March 15th as well and updated monthly thereafter. Failing receipt of a written notice of objection from an affected employee(s) on or before March 31st the posted calendar will be deemed to be accepted. Requests received after February 15th will be granted on a first come first serve basis with consideration given to an employee’s seniority where circumstances permit. Except in emergency situations and with prior approval, employees shall apply for vacation at least four (4) weeks prior to the time to be taken. For vacation requests received subsequent to February 15th, the company agrees to provide written response as soon as possible, however no later than four weeks after the vacation request having been submitted. As above, the Company agrees to update monthly the calendar. Failing the receipt of a written notice of objection from an affected employee(s) within fifteen calendar days of the updated calendar being posted, the posted calendar will be deemed to be accepted.
Seniority Vacation. Seniority as a police officer shall be the principal factor in determining the time when vacation shall be taken, subject, however, to scheduling approval of the Director. Employees shall submit their preferences in writing to the Director by April 15 of each year. The Director shall post approved vacation leaves no later than May 15.
Seniority Vacation. 1. At the Start of Six (6) Years of Employment Fifteen (15) days vacation time will be granted.

  • Banked Vacation Once every five years an employee may bank one full year's vacation to be taken in conjunction with the next year's vacation. For the purposes of this clause, all vacation in the second year must be taken concurrently.

  • Weeks Vacation Subject to Article 17.08 and Article 17.01 (a) (ii), employees shall be entitled to take five (5) weeks vacation leave with pay during the first and subsequent complete fiscal years following the date in which they complete fourteen (14) years of service. Such leave shall be earned at the rate of two and one-twelfth (2 1/12) days for each completed calendar month of service.

  • Vacation Leave A part-time employee shall earn vacation leave credits for each month in which the employee receives pay for at least twice the number of hours in the employee’s normal workweek, at the rate for years of service established in clause 34.02 of this Agreement, prorated and calculated as follows:

  • Sick a. Except as otherwise may be provided in this Article, the Principal shall be entitled to accrue and use sick leave as provided in the regulations of the Alaska Department of Education, 4 AAC 15.040. At the beginning of the work year, the Principal shall be pre-credited with the sick leave days anticipated to be accrued during the year. The value of pre-credited days in excess of accrual shall be deducted from the Principal’s final paycheck upon termination. The Principal shall be responsible for notifying the immediate supervisor as far in advance of the use of sick leave as possible. A statement by an attending physician or health aide may be required for sick leave, at the discretion of the immediate supervisor or Superintendent.

  • Sick Leave While on Vacation An employee who while on vacation is incapacitated for one (1) or more days due to personal illness or injury may charge such days to accrued sick leave. In such event, the employee promptly shall notify his department, and upon return to duty shall substantiate the need for, and use of, sick leave.

  • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.
