Service Provider’s Status. At all times during the Contract Period the Service Provider shall be an independent contractor and nothing in the Contract shall create a contract of employment, a relationship of agency or partnership or a joint venture between the Parties and, accordingly, neither Party shall be authorised to act in the name of, or on behalf of, or otherwise bind the other Party save as expressly permitted by the terms of the Contract.

The Service Provider has been engaged only by the Authority and the Authority's engagement of the Service Provider is not deemed to be on behalf of and is not intended to confer rights upon any person not a party to this Contract. No one other than the Authority is authorised to rely upon any statements, advice or opinions of the Service Provider.
