Common use of Shift Clause in Contracts

Shift. The parties agree to work a 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight shift, Monday to Friday with a twenty (20) minute paid lunch. A shift premium of fifty (50) cents per hour will be paid to the employees on shift. The night shift shall not employ greater than two-thirds of the day shift staff. Volunteers and anyone hired after August 9, 1990 shall work the 4 - 12 shift. Employees hired before August 9, 1990 shall have the right to work (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) the day shift.
