Shortened Work Year. In the event that a driver or aide resigns, retires or is terminated prior to the end of the 180 day work year the driver or aide’s last pay check will be adjusted to reflect payment for the actual number of days worked prior to separation from employment. Example: The school year begins on September 3. The driver resigns effective December 31. Shortened Work Year. Vacation time for employees working a shortened work year will be prorated. Prorated vacation time must be scheduled and approved by the employee’s immediate supervisor(s). Extenuating circumstances involving those employees working a shortened work year, which result in not being able to take vacation, shall receive vacation pay.

  • REGULAR WORK YEAR 1. The annual salary established for employees covered by this Collective Agreement shall be payable in respect of the employees’ regular work year.
