Common use of Sick Leave During Vacation Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave During Vacation. While on vacation, or if an employee’s scheduled vacation is interrupted due to accident or a serious illness, the time period of illness as verified by a doctor’s certificate, shall be considered sick leave. In such an event, the employee may re-schedule their vacation at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and their supervisor.

While If an employee becomes ill while on vacation, or the use of sick leave shall be granted only if an employee’s scheduled vacation a doctor's written verification is interrupted due to accident or a serious submitted describing the illness, the time period length of illness as verified incapacity and further evidenced by a doctor’s certificate, receipted xxxx for services of the attending physician. The employee shall be considered sick leave. In such an event, return to work on the employee may re-schedule their vacation at a time mutually agreeable to the employee and their supervisororiginally scheduled return date unless that date is changed by his/her Department Head.
