Sick Leave Substitution for Annual Vacation. Accumulated sick leave credits may be substituted for hours of scheduled vacation interrupted where it can be established by the Nurse to the satisfaction of the Employer that an illness or accident occurred prior to the commencement of the vacation and that the illness or accident was such that the vacation plans of the Nurse were interrupted.

Sick Leave Substitution for Annual Vacation. (Not applicable to a Casual Nurse) Sick leave may be substituted for vacation interrupted where it can be established by the Nurse to the satisfaction of the Employer that an illness or accident occurred prior to vacation and that illness or accident was such that the vacation of the Nurses was interrupted. Where an employee becomes admitted to hospital during their period of vacation there shall be no deduction from vacation credits for such absence, with satisfactory proof of hospital admission. Time spent in hospital shall be deducted from the employee’s sick time, or taken as unpaid leave of absence if the employee has no sick leave accumulated. The period of vacation so displaced shall be reinstated for later use, at a mutually agreed time.

  • Annual Vacation Auxiliary employees will be entitled to receive annual vacation at the rate of four percent (4%) of their regular earnings.
