Staff Development Policy. Subject to budgetary restraints, and recognizing the necessity for flexibility and adaptation to changed circumstances, purposes and philosophies, the Employer shall continue its policy regarding the following:
Staff Development Policy. Both the individual employee and the Employer share in the responsibility for extending the scope of the workers’ competence. Included in In-Service Education Programs, where appropriate, will be: (a) The teaching, certification and recertification of special procedures and “Sanctioned Medical Acts” as established and amended by the College of Nurses of Ontario. (b) Information will be made available to staff concerning all aspects of services provided by the Employer. Where necessary. Appropriate In-Service Programs will be provided pertaining to a specific service. (c) All In-Service Education Programs will be posted on designated notice boards and scheduled to allow the opportunity for staff to participate. The content of the In-Service Programs may be the subject of discussion at the Professional Committee.
