Study Material. As prescribed by respective SSC E. Promotions:
Study Material. (a) Sponsor will identify each compound, material or other substance (“Test Material”) that is to become the subject of a Study. Sponsor will provide Laboratory with the Test Material with which to perform the Study, as well as such know-how, information and data (“Sponsor Know-How”) as Sponsor deems necessary to enable Laboratory to conduct each Study. In addition, Sponsor shall provide Laboratory with information to apprise Laboratory of the stability of the Test Material, proper storage and safe handling requirements, including a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) or equivalent documentation (“Safety Information”). Laboratory will supply a blank MSDS to Sponsor, if necessary.
Study Material. The City will, sixty (60) days in advance of any promotional test, provide Employees with a list of reference material designated by the testing source as used for making up the forthcoming promotional test. The study material provided by the testing company as reference material used in the promotional test will be retained by the Division offices and will be available to every Employee eligible to take the promotional test.
Study Material. 12.1. Subject to the provisions of this clause 10, the costs associated with the Study Material are included in the Fees.
12.2. The Study Material shall be made available to the student, in batches in accordance with the requirements and structure of the Programme(s). The student may elect to receive all the Study Material in one complete batch at the commencement of the Programme(s) upon completion and submission of the relevant request form to The Company and receipt by the Company of the full payment for the Services and/or Programme(s).
12.3. The first dispatch of the Study Material shall be provided to the student, within ten (10) business days of the date of receipt of the Student/Legal Guardian/Account Holder first payment (as prescribed per quotation including possible registration fees, deposits and first course instalments) to the Company.
12.4. The student may elect to collect the Study Material from the Company premises or request that the Study Material be delivered to the Nominated Physical Address in accordance with the provisions of clause 13 below.
12.5. In the event that there are significant amendments to the Study Material within 3 (three) months of receipt of the Study Material, the Company will provide the student, with the amended Study Material at no additional cost.
12.6. If the Study Material is amended significantly after 3 (three) months from receipt of the Study Material by the Student, and should the student, wish to obtain such amended Study Material, the Student/Legal Guardian/Account Holder shall be liable for the cost of such Study Material. The amended Study Material shall be dispatched to the student, or made available for collection by the student, upon receipt by the Company of the full payment due for that Study Material.
12.7. Should the Student, require the replacement of any Study Material provided to the student, by the Company for any reason whatsoever (except in terms of clause 12.5 above), the Student/Legal Guardian/Account Holder shall be liable for all costs of replacing the Study Material, including any delivery costs applicable.
12.8. Any Company merchandise purchased by the Student/Legal Guardian/Account Holder may be collected from the premises of the Company or delivered to the student, in accordance with clause 13 below. The Student/Legal Guardian/Account Holder shall be liable for any and all delivery costs in this regard.
Study Material. 3.7.1 Physical activity sensors
A) Bodymedia Armband. Accelerometry data will be collected exclusively using the 3-axis capacitive accelerometer included in the MF-SW model of the devices (BodyMedia, Inc, Pittsburgh, PA, USA) [10]. In all the protocols the devices will be placed on the dominant arm of the participants, according to the directions of the manufacturer. To facilitate comparisons with the SPLENDID activity sensor, in the sensor validation subprotocol the device will be set to collect data at a frequency of 32Hz from all axes and save them in a raw, unfiltered format. In the free-living subprotocol the data sampling frequency will be set to 1 measurement / minute to allow for longer term recordings. The proprietary Bodymedia daily energy expenditure values will also be stored in order to be compared (WP3: Information Processing and Inference) with energy expenditure calculations derived by SPLENDID algorithms. The device and the correct position on the arm can be seen in Figure 11, A.
B) First SPLENDID activity prototype sensor. CSEM has provided KI with one unit of the first SPLENDID activity prototype. The device is a 3-axis capacitive accelerometer with a set-up sampling frequency of 25Hz for each axis. During in-house testing at AUTH, it was shown the activity sensor should be worn in the waist. When worn in the waist, the accuracy, precision, sensitivity and specificity on activity type detection were higher compared to arm and chest positions. The outcome of this analysis will be included in D3.
1. Thus, in the structured activity subprotocol, the first SPLENDID activity sensor prototype will be worn on the waist, to simulate the planned sensor placement in the intergraded SPLENDID platform (Figure 11).
