Supervision, Labor and Employee Acceptance. The Contractor shall provide all staff with clothing that shows the name of the contractor. Contractor identification clothing shall be worn at all times. ✓ Contractor personnel must have reliable transportation and must be able to provide regular scheduled cleaning services during inclement weather conditions. ✓ All custodial personnel shall be physically able, capable and qualified in this type of work, and must have received training in the methods and use of materials in the performance of their work assignment. Custodial personnel assigned to the City’s account are required to read, write, speak and understand the English language; and, understand written and oral rules and regulations. ✓ All custodial personnel shall be at least eighteen (18) years of age and capable of working nights. No one under the age of eighteen (18) will be allowed at the City of Xxx’x Summit work site(s). ✓ Contractor shall at all times provide adequate supervision of personnel to ensure complete and satisfactory performance of all work in accordance with the terms of the contract. ✓ Office equipment, telephones, showers, lockers, etc. shall not be used by the Contractor or the Contractor’s employees. ✓ Any damage to equipment, furniture, fixtures, walls and floors, caused by the Contractor’s employees shall be the Contractor’s responsibility and expense to repair or replace. Any damage to the plumbing system caused by the improper use of or unauthorized use of chemicals or acids which result in complete repair or replacement of damaged piping or plumbing shall be at the contractor’s expense. ✓ Custodial personnel should not disturb personal items or open desk drawers for any reason (closets, lockers, locker rooms and cabinets included). ✓ Eating and drinking is allowed only in the break room. There is to be No Smoking in any City facility. ✓ Lounging in offices, hallways, corridors or break rooms is not permitted. ✓ Custodial personnel should report the breakage of any personal item to the City. ✓ Contractor shall protect and hold harmless the City of Xxx’x Summit from any and all loss or image suffered by said City due to dishonesty, infidelity, larceny or theft by Contractor’s agents and employees during the duration of the contract. ✓ Contractor personnel shall not enter any building prior to their shift start times.   • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time. The provisions of Chapter 12T are incorporated by reference and made a part of this Agreement as though fully set forth herein. Contractor is required to comply with all of the applicable provisions of 12T, irrespective of the listing of obligations in this Section.   • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • Joint Labor/Management Committees Purpose and Membership. Joint Labor/Management Committees are established to provide a forum for communications and problem-solving between the two parties and to deal with matters of a general personnel Union/Employer concern, as well as professional practices within the hospital related to patient care and professional issues. The Committees will work toward the improvement of patient care and recommend ways and means to improve patient care; and will address problems and concerns related to staffing and workloads. The Committees’ function will be limited to an advisory capacity and shall not include any decision making or collective bargaining authority. Committee memberships:

  • Staffing Plan 8.l The Board and the Association agree that optimum class size is an important aspect of the effective educational program. The Polk County School Staffing Plan shall be constructed each year according to the procedures set forth in Board Policy and, upon adoption, shall become Board Policy.

  • JOINT LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE In order to encourage open communication, promote harmonious labor relations, and resolve matters of mutual concern, the parties agree to create a joint labor- management committee. The committee will be governed by the following principles:

  • Labor and Employment Matters (a) Except as set forth in Section 3.25 of the Company Disclosure Schedule, (i) there is no labor strike, material labor dispute, slowdown, stoppage or lockout actually pending, or, to the knowledge of the Company, threatened against the Company or any of its Subsidiaries, and during the past three years there has not been any such action, (ii) no labor organization claims to represent the employees of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries, (iii) neither the Company nor any of its Subsidiaries is a party to or bound by any collective bargaining or similar agreement governing terms and conditions of employment with any labor organization, (iv) none of the employees of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries is represented by any labor organization and the Company does not have any knowledge of any current organizing activities on behalf of any labor organization among the employees of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries, nor, to the knowledge of the Company, does any question concerning representation exist concerning such employees, (v) there is no pending, or to the knowledge of the Company, threatened material unfair labor practice charge or complaint against the Company or any of its Subsidiaries before the National Labor Relations Board or any similar state or foreign agency, (vi) there is no material grievance arising out of any collective bargaining agreement, (vii) no material charges with respect to or relating to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries are pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or any other agency responsible for the prevention of unlawful employment practices, (viii) neither the Company nor any of its Subsidiaries has received notice of the intent of any federal, state, local or foreign agency responsible for the enforcement of labor or employment laws to conduct an investigation with respect to or relating to the Company or any of its Subsidiaries and no such investigation is in progress, (ix) the Company has procedures in place for collecting information about employee eligibility on Form I-9, collects such information and follows applicable Laws governing U.S. citizenship in all material respects, and (x) there are no material complaints, lawsuits or other proceedings pending or, to the knowledge of the Company, threatened in any forum by or on behalf of any present or former employee of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries alleging breach of any express or implied contract of employment, any law or regulation governing employment or the termination thereof or other discriminatory, wrongful or tortious conduct in connection with the employment relationship.

  • Local Safety Committee There shall be established in each department and/or principal place of employment (for example: institutions, hospitals, colleges, transportation department areas, Department of Natural Resources regions, etc.) a joint Safety Committee composed of Appointing Authority representatives selected by the Appointing Authority and employee representatives selected by the Union, one from each bargaining unit represented by the Union but at a minimum, a total of two (2) representatives. If more than one (1) exclusive representative exists in the department or principal place of employment, the Union will attempt to work out an arrangement with the other exclusive bargaining representative(s) to insure their input to the Committee. The chair of the Committee shall be appointed by the Appointing Authority. The Appointing Authority may consider having co-chairs, one management and one labor. The Safety Committee shall meet at least quarterly or as may be legally required and meetings shall be scheduled by the Safety Officer. Additional meetings may be called by the Safety Officer or by the Local Union or Appointing Authority as the need may arise. All Safety Committee meetings shall be held during normal day shift working hours on the Appointing Authority's premises and without loss of pay. The function of the Safety Committee will be to review reports of property damage and personal injury accidents and alleged hazardous working conditions, to provide support for a strong safety program, to review building security issues, and to review and recommend safety policies to the Appointing Authority. Normally, the Committee shall acknowledge in writing receipt of reports of alleged hazardous working conditions within thirty (30) calendar days of their submission. A copy of the Committee's recommendations, if any, to the Appointing Authority regarding the disposition of such reports shall also be provided to the individual who filed the report with the Committee. In addition, the Safety Committee will provide the filing party with a copy of the Appointing Authority's response and/or proposed actions, if any. At the request of the Local Union or Safety Committee, hazard assessments will be made available for review. Each Local Safety Committee in a facility with a laundry and/or a kitchen shall perform a routine heat survey to check temperature, humidity, and exhaust and fan systems in the laundries and kitchens. The Employer agrees to coordinate technical assistance to the Local Safety Committee upon request.

  • Health and Safety Committee Where required a committee will be formed and will meet where required by the Employer’s safety policies and by statute.
