Inclement Weather Conditions. 3.8.1 If severe weather conditions make it necessary for the district to declare school(s) closed, all but critical employees (as determined by the district) necessary to maintain the buildings and equipment will not be required to report to duty. Critical employees will, except in an emergency, be designated by their supervisors in September of each year. Regular full-time and part-time employees working only the school year will make up the day(s) when school is rescheduled. Non-critical full-time and part-time employees who work the full twelve (12) month year may choose from the following:
a. Use up to three (3) days of inclement weather leave. This leave may only be used when a school and/or the district has been closed due to severe weather. This leave will not be deducted from sick leave/emergency leave accumulation.
b. Any additional days missed may be deducted from appropriate accrued leave. If all available leave has been exhausted, leave without pay may be used.
c. They may report to work for no loss of pay or leave days. Critical employees who are required to report to work on a school closure day and who do not have the option of the severe weather leave day and non-critical employees reporting for duty on a school closure day will receive up to three (3) additional compensatory vacation days. Information regarding school closures is on the district web site and is sent to employees via email, phone and text, upon request.
3.8.2 Employees who have reported for work on days when school is closed because of severe weather conditions or district emergency will receive a minimum of two (2) hours pay for the day, unless timely notice of school closure has been given.
3.8.3 When schools are closed early due to hazardous conditions, all school-based employees except those considered to be critical will be permitted to leave immediately after students are dismissed. Such employees will report to work 30 minutes before students arrive when school opening is delayed due to hazardous conditions, unless it does not affect their regularly scheduled starting time.
3.8.4 When school is not in session and the district closes early due to hazardous conditions, all employee except those considered to be critical will be permitted to leave.

Inclement Weather Conditions. A. If Management must close a facility because of severe weather conditions or an emergency situation, as determined by Management, administrative leave will be granted to those employees on official duty in accordance with applicable law and regulation. If this decision is made prior to the start of the business day, a reasonable mechanism will be established to inform employees at the local worksite.
B. When inclement weather conditions exist, a reasonable effort will be made to provide direction to bargaining unit employees at Indian Affairs worksites that is similar to the direction provided to employees of other similarly situated federal, state, or local agencies by their respective management officials.
C. In the event of an early closing of a facility, employees will be notified as promptly as possible after the decision is made that they may leave work at no charge to the employee’s personal leave account or loss of pay. The early dismissal will have no effect on the leave or pay of employees not in duty status when the dismissal became effective.
D. It is recognized that Management is not required to, but may, grant administrative leave pursuant to this Section if an employee residing outside the commuting area is precluded from reaching work when those residing within the commuting area are able to reach work. This will be fairly applied on a case by case basis.

Buyer agrees that if construction of dwelling take place during a time of year when the exterior cannot be completed, funds for uncompleted items may be held by an escrow agent agreeable to Seller and settlement shall proceed as scheduled. Inclement Weather Conditions. (a) In the event of inclement weather/conditions affecting a workplace or worksite, work will continue until the particular work being performed can no longer be done safely and efficiently.
(b) Inclement weather/conditions includes weather heat, cold, rain, strong wind and any other abnormal weather conditions that place an Employee’s health and safety at risk.
(c) If inclement weather/conditions are such that the Company or the Employees feel it is not safe to continue to work, a discussion will take place between the Supervisor in charge and the Employees. A course of action will be decided upon and controls agreed to.
(d) If the on-set of inclement weather is such that work is likely to cease, then steps must be taken to ensure that work being undertaken is rendered safe, that is, free from risk or hazard to Employees and the general public, before work ceases.
(e) The Parties agree that Employees may be relocated to other unaffected sites or workplaces that are not affected by the inclement weather. Employees may also be required to undertake training activities, maintenance and housekeeping duties at depots 18 STANDING DOWN OF EMPLOYEES
18.1 Subject to clause 16.2, where work for an Employer is impracticable on any day through shortage of material, which shortage the Employer could reasonably have avoided, the relevant Employees shall be paid for the work lost at their ordinary rate of pay.
18.2 The Employer may stand down without pay any Employee who cannot be usefully employed because of:
(a) any strike;
(b) any breakdown of machinery; or
(c) any stoppage of work by any cause for which the Employer cannot be held responsible.
18.3 Prior to any stand downs occurring, discussions shall take place between the Employer and relevant Employees.
Inclement Weather Conditions. 1. When inclement weather conditions result in it being impracticable for seasonal employees of Gas Construction to proceed with their normal occupations, other work for such employees shall be provided, if available.
2. ln the event other work is not available for these employees, they may be required to remain available to deal with any emergency that may arise, or may be released, but nevertheless shall be paid at one-half (0.5) times their normal rate of pay for a period not exceeding three (3) consecutive days. During such time, employees may be instructed in safety methods and procedures, construction methods and standards, Company policies, etc.
3. For the time in excess of three (3) consecutive days, as defined in 9.08 (2), the Company will provide these employees away from their headquarters with meals and lodging, provided they remain at the working location.
Inclement Weather Conditions. 26.1 In the event that weather conditions warrant the closing of school prior to the start of the school day, all maintenance personnel and first (1st) shift custodians shall report for duty if at all possible.
(a) Compensatory time shall be given to those employees who report to work. Such compensatory time shall be taken prior to August 31, following the date on which the closing occurred.
(b) Should normal school operations resume during the afternoon and/or evening hours the employees who are in operation will be called and required to report to work. Compensatory time shall be given to those employees. Failure to report to work when called may result in loss of pay.
(c) Employees not required to report to work shall be paid but shall not receive compensatory time. In the event that weather conditions warrant the closing of school prior to the start of the school day, food service employees and bus drivers need not report to work. Any food service employee or bus driver whose work day commences prior to the closing of school shall receive compensatory time or paid compensation for the time worked in addition to their regular daily wages.
26.2 If school is closed due to a Tornado Watch or Warning, any activity taking place in the building should be dismissed. Custodians and maintenance personnel are to assist building principals or directors in clearing the building, and are to remain until their buildings are properly secured.
(a) Once the school buildings are secured for storm conditions, the custodians and maintenance personnel should leave. They shall not report back to work until the “All Clear” has been announced.
(b) In cases where less than two (2) hours are left on a shift at the time an “All Clear” is announced, it will not be necessary to report back to work.

Inclement Weather Conditions. A. It is the responsibility of each Member of the Department to make an honest effort to report to work as scheduled. During periods of severe inclement weather, Members are classified as essential personnel.
B. If a Member cannot report for duty as scheduled without an unreasonable risk to his or her safety, the Member shall immediately notify an Officer in Charge. The following will apply to all Members:
