Prior Experience. The teacher is responsible for providing proof of experience satisfactory to the School Division in accordance with this article.

Prior Experience. Meat Cutters who have achieved “Thereafter” status under the Retail Meat Agreement between the UFCW and Albertsons, Ralphs and Vons in Southern California and who have actively worked full-time under that Agreement during the two (2) years prior to being employed by the Employer shall be credited for such industry experience as follows:
5.7.1 The first (1st) sixty (60) calendar days of employment (probationary period) shall be considered as warehouse orientation pay and shall be at the 4th Apprentice rate of pay.
5.7.2 Upon successful completion of the probationary period such employees shall thereafter be paid the Journeyman rate of pay.
Prior Experience. A teacher who has had experience in other school systems or in other fields of endeavor will be placed on the salary schedule as agreed between the teacher and the District.
Prior Experience. Credit will be allowed on a year for year basis up to a maximum of ten (10) years of service credit for new hires. Any time served with the District as a temporary, probationary or permanent unit member will count toward salary placement if the number of days served within a particular year equals at least seventy‐five percent (75%) of the teaching days.
14.4.1 Public and private school experience for placement on the salary schedule shall be accepted providing that the private school was accredited and the unit member held a valid credential at the time of the teaching experience and that the assignment, duties, school day and school year of the private school experience are comparable to a public school experience.
Prior Experience. Consultant has extensive experience in the areas of the services he is to perform hereunder and has performed the services contemplated by this Agreement for the benefit of other client-companies.
Prior Experience. Newly employed Bus Drivers with validated bus driving experience may be granted credit for such experience on the base hourly rate schedule at the sole discretion of the Director of Transportation Services. Employees who retire as a Bus Driver or Bus Assistant from the District and return to work as a Bus Driver or Bus Assistant, within twelve (12) months of their retirement date, will receive credit for their prior service in their base pay rate, but shall be listed at the bottom of the seniority list. In addition, a Bus Driver hired within twelve (12) months of their retirement date shall not have to serve a probationary period (see, Article VII, Section 2).
Prior Experience i) A casual employee hired having less than one (1) year’s experience (1,826.25 hours) shall be placed on the first step of the increment scale.
ii) A newly-hired casual employee shall receive credit for previous hours of experience on the basis of a one-to-one (1:1) ratio and shall be placed on the wage progression scale in accordance with one (1) increment step for each 1,826.25 hours of service. Previous experience is accorded where the nursing experience is relevant (as determined by the Employer) and provided not more than two (2) years have elapsed since such experience was obtained.
iii) Where more than two (2) years have elapsed since such experience was obtained, experience recognition shall be granted as follows:
(1) annual increment for every one (1) year’s experience minus one (1) increment for each year in excess of two (2) years to a maximum of a five (5) year lapse. For example, an RN who has seven (7) years’ experience and has been out of the workforce for four (4) years will be put on Step 5.
iv) If more than five (5) years have lapsed since such experience was obtained, there shall be no credit for previous experience.
Prior Experience. In applying Section 27 (22) of Article 8 of this Agreement to any newly hired employee, the Employer will give recognition to the verified number of hours of actual work experience on a comparable job which said newly hired employee may have performed within the previous ten (10) years for any other employer listed in Appendix A, Prior Experience Matrix. Service in the United States military or National Guard shall be given credit for one thousand and forty (1,040) hours per year of service, capped at four thousand, one hundred and sixty (4,160) hours. This section shall only apply to newly-hired employees upon ratification. Any grievance over recognition given an employee for comparable work experience at the time of his employment must be filed pursuant to the terms and conditions of the grievance procedure of this Agreement (excluding the employee's trial period). Any employee shall receive, upon request to his employer or former employer, the following information: Date of hire, date of termination, total hours worked in retail store unless such hours worked shall exceed six thousand five hundred (6,500) and then such fact shall be stated. The employee must show evidence of employment in the grocery industry before making such request.
Prior Experience. Outside paraprofessional credit shall be recognized for step placement beyond the entry level by granting full credit for each full year of outside paraprofessional experience up to a maximum of five (5) years. Outside work experience for educational office personnel shall be recognized for step placement beyond the entry level up to a maximum of five (5) years. Year for year credit shall be granted for prior office work experience in any fully accredited public or private school system. Half year credit shall be granted for prior office work experience in university or non-educational setting. However, at no time should a newly hired employee be placed above a current bargaining unit member with an equivalent amount of experience in the District.
