Prior Experience. Meat Cutters who have achieved “Thereafter” status under the Retail Meat Agreement between the UFCW and Albertsons, Ralphs and Vons in Southern California and who have actively worked full-time under that Agreement during the two (2) years prior to being employed by the Employer shall be credited for such industry experience as follows:

Newly employed Bus Drivers with validated bus driving experience may be granted credit for such experience on the base hourly rate schedule at the sole discretion of the Director of Transportation Services. Employees who retire as a Bus Driver or Bus Assistant from the District and return to work as a Bus Driver or Bus Assistant, within twelve (12) months of their retirement date, will receive credit for their prior service in their base pay rate, but shall be listed at the bottom of the seniority list. In addition, a Bus Driver hired within twelve (12) months of their retirement date shall not have to serve a probationary period (see, Article VII, Section 2).

The maximum amount of outside experience allowed is two (2) years (Step 2). The School District may, upon written request of the Superintendent and after consulting with the Exclusive Representative, award more than two (2) years of experience (Step 3).
