The FlowRider machines have proven to appeal to two distinctive groups when it comes to actual participation. The first group is children under 18 who are enthralled with bogey boarding on the machines. FlowRiders around the country and on cruise ships are swamped with kids who just want to bogey board and rarely try stand up surfing. Stand up surfing in general is usually an activity that kids don’t pick up until they are 16 or older.
