Temporary Nurse. Defined as a nurse employed for a specific, limited duration of six (6) consecutive months or less in the event no full-time, part-time or occasional nurses are available. Anyone who works under temporary status for more than 180 days will be reclassified as a regular employee. Date of hire shall be considered that date the employee was first hired as a temporary nurse. Any applicable benefits shall begin accrual on the date the nurse was reclassified, however, the time spent as a temporary nurse shall count towards years of service for benefit accrual.
