Temporary Postings. (i) In the event of a temporary vacancy in excess of eight (8) weeks, that vacancy (position #1) will be posted in the normal manner. a. If no regular employee, on the main seniority list applies for the temporary vacancy (position #1) then the job shall be available to qualified persons in the following order: 1. Employees on layoff 2. Temporary employees with seniority 3. Student supervisors, subject to selection process b. Temporary Postings. There will be temporary postings for all preferred classifications excluding Upgrader and Production Specialist classifications where a canvass procedure will be utilized (iProduction Specialist positions in Stamping will however, be eligible for temporary postings). The above preferred classifications will be filled on a temporary basis subject to the conditions listed below:
(a) The absence from these jobs must be 30 days or more. If it is known the absence will be beyond 30 days at the outset, the vacancy will be posted at that time. Otherwise, the job will be posted only when it is known it will exceed the 30 day period. Documentation must be provided to substantiate the 30 day absence.
(b) A temporary posting will be open plant-wide to base production operators only.
(c) The resultant vacancy will be posted plant wide.
(d) Successful applicants on a temporary posting will not be eligible to bid on another temporary posting and shall remain on the job for the duration of the absence or until it is determined the job opening is permanent. In the event of the latter, the permanent job posting procedure would take place. The temporary replacement would follow the procedure outlined in Step (f).
(e) Additionally, all vacancies (including Production Specialist and Upgrader classification vacancies) created by an election or appointment to a temporary vacancy in excess of eight (8) weeks, that vacancy (Union position #1) will be posted in the normal manner.

1. Employees on layoff
2. Temporary employees with seniority

(iii) At the end Upon completion of the temporary posting positionassignment the employee will return to the department they were in at the time they posted on this job and will first fill an open job then bump the junior employee in the department seniority permitting, unless regardless of shift, providing the former position has been eliminated or reduced in hours, employee returning to work is physically qualified to assume the regular employees shall return to their former positions. There are no bumping rights at duties of the end of temporary postingsjob assignment.
(iv) Employees in temporary positions will be required to complete their temporary positions before being eligible for an appointment to a subsequent temporary position.

a) In the event of a temporary vacancy in excess of eight (8) weeks, that vacancy (position #1) The job will be posted on the Plant Bulletin Boards for four (4) days exclusive of weekends.
b) The senior employee among those applying will be given the job.
c) An employee receiving a temporary posting in accordance with Article 16, shall, when displaced by the returning employee, return to the job he previously held with full accumulated plant and job seniority. Where an employee, in a line of progression, is applying for a temporary vacancy, at least one (1) employee per progression line will be released to fill such temporary vacancies. Further employees will be released from the line when the subsequent vacancy thus created can be filled. In all instances where the temporary position requires the operation of mobile equipment, the Company will provide the appropriate training. An employee granted a temporary posting, may, if the absent employee has not returned at the end of a four (4) month period, exercise an option to continue in the normal manner.

e) For the purpose of vacation, the temporarily transferred employee will become the junior person in the normal mannergroup to which he is transferred. Should a previous holiday commitment be affected by the transfer it will become null and void and should he not receive his vacation during the temporary transfer, it will have to be rearranged upon return to his original job.
(iiif) At Employees who have not completed the end probationary period of service as set forth in Article 12.01 of this Agreement will not be allowed to make application.
g) If there are no applications for the job, the Company reserves the right to fill the vacancy with the junior Spareman in the department.
h) Employees classified within the Trades Group are excluded from the above provisions and shall not be permitted to apply for these positions. During posting and vacancy filling procedures, the Company may assign an employee(s) to the vacancy(ies), for a period not to exceed 30 Calendar Days, in accordance with Article 23 of this Collective Agreement, provided he has the ability to perform the normal requirements of the temporary posting position, unless the former position has been eliminated or reduced in hours, the regular employees shall return to their former positions. There are no bumping rights at the end of temporary postingsjob.
