An employee whose pay is interrupted because of injury or occupational disease is eligible to receive compensation according to the benefits provided by the Xxxxxxx'x Compensation Insurance Law of the State of Indiana. If an employee's pay is not interrupted due to the injury or occupational disease, compensation insurance payments should be receipted into the Education Fund of the Wawasee Community School Corporation, or a proportionate amount deducted from the teacher's pay.

TENTATIVE. The sick leave bank committee will act upon each application and shall inform the applicant, or a member of the family, of the decision. The sick leave bank committee shall report a written decision to the Superintendent.
TENTATIVE. Any sick leave borrowed from the sick bank must be paid back at a minimum of two (2) sick leave days per year. Repayment shall be made on the first day of each school year beginning the second year after the award of sick leave bank days is made to the teacher.
TENTATIVE. In the event a teacher receiving a scholarship fails to complete the Master’s Degree program and/or withdraws for any reason (except illness), he or she shall be required to pay all monies given pursuant to the scholarship within 60 days.
TENTATIVE. If the need arises to use a part-time Employee to transfer a car from center to center, or center to shop, he/she shall be paid the appropriate driver’s wage rate for actual hours driving.
TENTATIVE. The Board agrees to make available in each school word processing and reproduction/duplicating capabilities to aid teachers in their preparation of instructional materials. Audio-visual equipment shall be made available in each school for classroom use.
TENTATIVE. The Bargaining Unit shall be granted up to six (6) paid holidays. Said holidays shall be those days designated as holidays by the Board, and shall include all such holidays granted at any time during the school year. Teachers who are under contract for less than 196 days shall be paid for the holidays which occur during their contract period.
TENTATIVE. Except in cases involving cardinal infractions, an employee to be discharged or suspended shall be allowed to remain on the job, without loss of pay unless and until the discharge or suspension is sustained under the grievance procedure. The Union agrees it will not unreasonably delay the processing of such cases.
