Time off in lieu of Pay for Overtime. (i) Subject to operational convenience and approval by the relevant Manager, an employee may elect to take time off in lieu of being paid overtime. Such time off must be taken at times convenient to both parties.

Time off in lieu of Pay for Overtime. (a) If the Corporation agrees in writing, an employee may elect to take time off in lieu of payment for overtime at a time or times agreed with the Corporation within twelve (12) months of the overtime being worked. (b) Overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours will be taken at the ordinary time rate; that is, an hour for each hour worked. (c) If, having elected to take time off in accordance with sub-clause (a) above, the employee does not take the leave for whatever reason, payment for time accrued at overtime rates will be made at the expiry of the twelve (12) month period or on termination.

  • Time Off in Lieu of Overtime Employees who work overtime will not be required to take time off in regular hours to make up for overtime worked. Time off in lieu may be taken on a mutually agreed upon basis between the employee and the Hospital, such time off will be the equivalent of the premium rate the employee has earned for working overtime. The Hospital shall revert to payment of premium rate if time off is not taken within sixty (60) calendar days."

Thereafter, any payments that remain outstanding as of the day immediately following the New Payment Date shall be paid without delay over the time period originally scheduled, in accordance with the terms of this Agreement.

  • Eligibility for Holiday Pay A. An employee must be paid for all or a portion of both the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately prior to a holiday and the regularly scheduled working assignment immediately after that holiday in order to receive holiday pay. With County approval, compensatory time earned for working on a holiday or for a holiday falling on a regularly scheduled day off may be taken on the first scheduled working day after the holiday. B. A new employee whose first working day is the day after a holiday shall not be paid for that holiday. C. An employee who elects paid County retirement on a holiday shall be paid for the holiday. D.   • Living Away From Home Allowance When Employees are to be engaged on a Project requiring them to live away from home, the provisions of Appendix I will apply in determining their entitlement and the conditions whilst they are living away from home.

  • Salaried Employees Employees in this unit who qualify for exemption from the FLSA overtime provisions based upon duties and who are receiving the Project Manager bonus, as provided for in this MOU, shall be treated as salaried employees, in accordance with the provisions of the FLSA as identified in LAAC section 4.113(b). Salaried employees may be assigned 5/40, 4/10 9/80 or other schedules at the discretion of Management. Notwithstanding any LAAC and MOU provisions, or other City department rules and regulations to the contrary, these employees shall not be required to record specific hours of work for compensation purposes, although hours may be recorded for other purposes. These employees will be paid the predetermined salary for each biweekly pay period, as indicated in the appropriate salary appendices, and shall not receive overtime compensation. Salaried employees shall not be subject to deductions from salary or any leave banks for absences from work of less than a full workday. This provision applies to occasional partial day absences from work which are authorized by the appropriate supervisor designated by management. This provision does not apply to long-term or recurring partial day absences (e.g., intermittent leave/reduced work schedule for purposes of Family/Medical Leave). Salaried employees shall not be subject to disciplinary suspension for a period of less than a workweek (seven days; half of the biweekly pay) unless based on violations of a safety rule of major significance. This requirement shall be superseded by the revised Department of Labor FLSA regulations pertaining to disciplinary suspensions of FLSA-exempt employees on the operative date of the FLSA regulations. The appointing authority of each City department may grant time off for hours worked due to unusual situations.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an Employee's vacation period, she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Employee.
