Training Enhancement Sample Clauses
Training Enhancement. To supplement on-the-job training and provide opportunities for career enhancement, it shall be the objective of the Company to encourage employees to take correspondence courses or other suitable courses. The Company will post notices advertising specialized courses or seminars that relate to the Company’s business. Interested employees are invited to apply to be sent on such courses or seminars.
Training Enhancement. The Company will provide cross-training opportunities for members of the bargaining unit to ensure all members of the bargaining unit will be able to perform the work of this bargaining unit. Bargaining unit members who are required by the Company to train or take courses outside of their scheduled shift will be paid for time spent attending mandatory training courses as well as the cost of course tuition. Where bargaining unit members volunteer or request to take courses outside of the scheduled shift, the Company will reimburse the cost of course tuition, provided the Company approves the course in advance and the member passes the course and provides evidence of same.
