Sick Leave Allotment. Each employee will receive twelve (12) days of sick leave per year without loss of pay. Sick leave will be charged in increments of half-day or full-day. A half- day deduction will occur when a teacher is absent in the elementary schools for three hours or less of the scheduled work day, or in the secondary schools four periods or less.
Sick Leave Allotment. A full-time employee shall accumulate sick leave credits on the basis of one-and- one-half (1 1/2) days per month. Part-time employees shall accumulate sick leave credits on the proportionate basis to full-time based upon the actual hours worked in a calendar month. Employees may accumulate up to one hundred and twenty (120) working days sick time. In addition, if an employee has used the ten (10) days of family sick leave in an entitlement year (20.01) and the employee requires up to twelve (12) days of paid sick leave for use in a personal disability in the same year, then the College agrees to grant up to four (4) days of additional paid sick leave. It is understood that there will be no banking of the additional sick leave time into subsequent years except in the case of an employee who has used family sick leave to the extent that s/he does not have a possible twelve (12) days of personal sick leave in an entitlement year. For the purposes of this Article, the entitlement year should be based on the employee's initial commencement date with the College.

Sick Leave Allotment. 1. After the cutoff date each year, which shall be November 1, all employees shall be allotted one hundred and four (104) hours of sick leave for the next twelve (12) months.

Employees shall not be awarded any sick leave compensation beyond one hundred and four (104) hours during any twelve (12) month period, unless they request to use extended leave due to an illness, injury, or other circumstances consistent with Section D of this Article. Such a request must be approved by the Fire Rescue Administrator or designee, and such approval shall not be unreasonably denied. However, employees may use their reserve sick leave bank to supplement an individual, short-term absence beyond the one hundred and four (104) hour allotment, until such time as their reserve sick leave bank is depleted. In no case shall the employee's main vacation account be used to supplement this type of absence unless, in the sole discretion of the Fire Rescue Administrator (or designee), which shall be final, binding, and not subject to grievance or arbitration, a waiver of this provision is
4. Employees who require extended leave may use their reserve sick leave time and/or vacation time to supplement any uncompensated portion of the leave. If vacation time is used to supplement any extended leave, it shall first be drawn from the employee's reserve vacation bank and upon depletion of this bank from the employee's main vacation bank.
5. Employees who are on extended leave at the time of a new sick leave allotment shall be required to use their allotted time (104 hours) at one hundred (100%) percent of their current salary, and shall then return to the current eligible extended leave compensation status without a break in the continuity of that status.
6. Employees must return to full duty for a minimum of six (6) months from an extended leave prior to being eligible to start a new extended leave compensation for any illness or injury. Employees who return to extended leave within six (6) months of returning to fully duty, for any illness or injury, shall be awarded the remaining benefits from the previous extended leave and shall have the duration of the two (2) leaves counted accumulatively.

Sick Leave Allotment. Regular full-time employees will accrue one and three-quarters days per month sick leave with full pay, to a maximum of 90 days. When an employee has worked 11 of the days in any given calendar month, they will accrue full sick leave allotment for that month. Part-time employees will accrue sick leave allotment on a pro rata basis.
Sick Leave Allotment. (a) Full time employees shall be entitled to accumulate sick leave credits of 9.375 hours (1.25 days) after each month of employment, to a maximum of 112.5 hours (15 days) at any given time.
(b) For part time employees, the accumulation of sick leave credits will be pro-rated based on the actual hours worked in the previous calendar month at a rate of 0.0577 to a maximum of 9.375 hours per month over the previous twelve month period. The entitlement will be allotted on the 2nd pay day of the month for the previous month.
(c) For piece rate and commissioned employees, one day will be defined as the employee‟s average commissioned/piece-rate earnings per day during the calendar month.

The district reserves the right for an administrator to approve a leave of less than a half day where coverage is arranged for by the employee, and no expense is incurred by the district. Any decision to allow a leave for less than a half day does not set practice or precedent and is therefore not grievable.
