TRANSFERS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT. Employees may be transferred at the sole discretion of the County within a department. Transfers shall not be utilized in lieu of disciplinary actions; however, transfers may be used in conjunction with a disciplinary action. It shall be the right of the Department to transfer employees for reasons that will improve the effectiveness or efficiency of the Department, in accordance with the provisions of this contract. The departments will attempt to provide the transferred employee with a fourteen (14) calendar day notice except for reasons of operational necessity as determined solely by the Department. The failure to provide such notice shall not preclude the Department from affecting the transfer. An employee may submit a written request to their Department Director for consideration of a transfer to an open position in their current classification. The decision of the Department Director shall be final and binding.

TRANSFERS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT. A. Transfers within a department shall be defined as assignment to a different bargaining unit position in the department in which the employee is currently assigned and which is not defined as a promotion. Transfers of classroom paraprofessionals and teacher assistants to the positions of career education paraprofessional, S.E.I. aide/paraprofessional, E.S.L. paraprofessional, bilingual paraprofessional, attendance paraprofessional, computer lab paraprofessional, vocational education paraprofessional, substance abuse paraprofessional, library processing paraprofessional, library audio visual paraprofessional, media tech assistant, student support group paraprofessional, Blue Xxx food preparation paraprofessional, welding paraprofessional and piano accompanist paraprofessional require specialized qualifications and shall follow the transfer procedures defined in Article X, Section B. Assignments of regular substitute custodians to different locations shall not be considered a transfer.
TRANSFERS WITHIN A DEPARTMENT. The parties agree that the department has the authority to transfer and assign employees to work schedules and work locations. When a transfer means a change in work location, the employee shall be notified in writing no less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the transfer in order to enable the employee to arrange for an orderly change. Such notice shall contain date, shift, and location of new assignment and the reason for such transfer. This fourteen (14) calendar day notice may be waived in cases of emergency as declared by the Mayor or when there is an ongoing investigation.

  • Department of State Registration Consistent with Title XXXVI, F.S., the Contractor and any subcontractors that assert status, other than a sole proprietor, must provide the Department with conclusive evidence of a certificate of status, not subject to qualification, if a Florida business entity, or of a certificate of authorization if a foreign business entity.

  • Monitoring by the Department The Contractor shall permit all persons who are duly authorized by the Department to inspect and copy any records, papers, documents, facilities, goods, and services of the Contractor that are relevant to this Contract, and to interview clients, employees, and sub-contractor employees of the Contractor to assure the Department of satisfactory performance of the terms and conditions of this Contract. Following such review, the Department shall deliver to the Contractor a written report of its finding, and may direct the development, by the Contractor, of a corrective action plan. This provision shall not limit the Department’s termination rights.

  • International Transfers (a) Any transfer of data to a third country or an international organisation by the processor shall be done only on the basis of documented instructions from the controller or in order to fulfil a specific requirement under Union or Member State law to which the processor is subject and shall take place in compliance with Chapter V of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or Regulation (EU) 2018/1725.

  • Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance employees, when actually climbing the cable stays of the Penobscot Narrows Bridge for inspection and/or repair, shall be compensated at the rate of ten dollars ($10.00) an hour in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay. Employees shall be compensated for a minimum of one (1) hour of such work regardless of the length of the climbing assignment.
