Common use of Travelling Allowances Clause in Contracts

Travelling Allowances. (1) Where an teacher is required by the employer to work away from the teacher’s usual place of employment the employer shall pay the teacher any reasonable travelling expenses incurred except where an allowance is paid in accordance with subclause (2) hereof. (2) Where a teacher is required and authorised to use his/her own motor vehicle in the course of duty, the teacher shall be paid an allowance of not less than that provided for taxation purposes by the Australian Taxation Office, unless otherwise agreed by the teacher.
