Uniforms, Safety Shoes and Safety Glasses. Unit members will be furnished with uniforms. These uniforms must be worn while on duty. It is the responsibility of each unit member to clean their uniforms. In accordance with district policy, hats may not be worn inside the schools. District 211 hats may be worn by grounds staff while working outside. Unit members will be allowed a maximum reimbursement of $400 per year for safety shoes, safety glasses and snow gear (i.e., coat, coveralls), with a maximum of $200 per item. Snow gear will reimbursed once every three (3) years with approval from the Buildings and Grounds Manager. Safety-toed shoes must be worn by all operations and maintenance employees. Exceptions will be considered only with a doctor’s note. Evidence of wear on safety-toed shoes may qualify the employee for an additional shoe purchase for the year with approval from the Building and Grounds Manager. At the time of replacement, previous safety-toed shoes must be turned in. Reimbursement for safety glasses will be allowed only if shatter resistance lenses are purchased. If safety glasses are purchased, they must be worn by the unit member.

If safety glasses are purchased, they must be worn by the unit member. Unit members who are covered under a District 211 health insurance plan should also review prescription glasses benefits on their health insurance plan (HMO plans – Xxxxx Vision; PPO and HSA plans – VSP Vision). Employees who do not wear the appropriate District-provided apparel and safety-shoes may be subject to discipline.

  • UNIFORMS AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT 214. For employees required by the Appointing Officer to wear a uniform, beginning in fiscal year 2006-2007 and continuing for the duration of this Agreement, the City agrees to provide a uniform allowance each year in the amount of eight hundred fifty dollars ($850). The City will pay the uniform allowance in the payroll that includes September 1 of each year. Represented employees must be on duty status or approved leave on each September 1 to be eligible for the uniform allowance. Any eligible employee hired on or after March 1 will receive fifty percent (50%) of the uniform allowance that year.

  • Prescription Safety Glasses Prescription safety glasses will be furnished by the employer. The employer retains the authority to establish reasonable rules and procedures regarding frequency of issue, replacement of damaged glasses, limits on reimbursement costs and coordination with the employer's vision plan.

  • HEALTH AND SAFETY AT WORK The Supplier shall undertake its obligations arising hereunder and in all Contracts in accordance with the OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System or equivalent. Both parties shall take all necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of the other party’s employees and agents visiting their premises. The Supplier shall notify the Authority of any use of substances listed under COSHH regulations or the Montreal Protocol in the provision of the Services.

  • Safety Glasses 10.3.1 Where a teacher is considered to be working in an “eye danger” area, the teacher shall receive a personal issue of standard neutral safety glasses which shall remain the property of the employer.

  • Health and Safety Plan 5. Xxxxxx shall prepare and submit under separate cover from the Work Plan, a Health and Safety Plan consistent with Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations. The Health and Safety Plan shall be submitted to the Department in the form of one electronic copy on compact disk (in .pdf format). Xxxxxx agrees that the Health and Safety Plan is submitted to the Department only for informational purposes. The Department expressly disclaims any liability that may result from implementation of the Health and Safety Plan by Xxxxxx. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION

  • Child Safety Never leave a child unsupervised near a pool, not even for a second. During social gatherings at or near the pool, appoint a designated adult to protect young children from pool accidents. Children must be watched closely while swimming. Do not use floatation devices as a substitute for supervision. Toys can entice young children into the pool area. When not in use, clear the pool area of all toys.

  • Health and Safety Training Regular employees and auxiliary employees in posted positions shall participate in a Health and Safety Training session once in a calendar year. The training program offered by the Employer must be approved by the joint Health and Safety Committee prior to such training commencing. Training will be provided during normal work hours and employees shall suffer no loss of pay or benefits.

  • Work Health and Safety (a) The employer and employee acknowledge their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 and Work Health and Safety Regulations 2012.
