Union Business Leave. A. 18:4 A maximum of fifty percent (50%) of all bargaining unit employees on duty including Union Officials shall be allowed to attend all local and/or special meetings during regularly scheduled work day with pay, but is understood they must be available for immediate duty and must be cleared by the shift commander before being granted permission. Individual notice does not have to be in writing provided the Chief of Police receives a copy of the meeting call at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance of such meeting.
18:5 Union Officials and/or Stewards, up to a maximum of two (2) per year shift, shall be allowed reasonable time off with pay on a regular work day to participate conduct business that concerns the Local Union, provided that such notice is in writing forty-eight (48) hours in advance of time needed, except in cases of emergency. Should time off duty exceed four (4) hours, all time off duty shall be charged against total hours outlined in Section 18:3 of this Article. It is understood that such time off refers solely to the time period required to attend such meetings.

Union Business Leave. A. Local 336 The Commission shall have pay the wages of the Union Executive or delegates up to twenty an amount of six hundred (20600) working tours or a total of 480 hours of Union business leave per agreement year, with full pay calendar year to be used for Union officers and/or designees activity. Employees of the bargaining unit who are elected or appointed to positions or committees find suitable employment with the IAFF, OAPFF, or AFL-CIO, and who are not local 336 eboard members, shall be granted forty-eight (48) hours of union leave per year to participate in the functions of those positionsCommission.
