UNION MEMBERSHIP AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. During the life of this Agreement, employees of the Employer who are subject to this Agreement shall be required as a condition of employment to maintain membership in the Union in good standing, subject to federal law. Compliance is required by the 31st day after employment. The Employer will provide all new hire employees who are hired into the bargaining unit with the Union Membership Application/Payroll Deduction Form. As a condition of employment all employees hired on or after the effective date of this Agreement shall, on the thirty-first (31st) day following the beginning of such employment, become and remain members in good standing of the Union and tender to the Union the initiation fees and periodic dues that are the obligations of members.

UNION MEMBERSHIP AS A CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT. All employees covered by this Agreement shall be required as a condition of employment to apply for and to become members of and to maintain membership in the Union within thirty (30) days of ratification and approval of this Agreement. Any new employee hired after the ratification and approval of this Agreement shall be required to apply for and to become members of and to maintain membership in the Union upon successful completion of their initial 90-day trial period.

  • Condition of Employment The Employee acknowledges that his/her employment and the continuance of that employment with the Company is contingent upon his/her agreement to sign and adhere to the provisions of this Agreement. The Employee further acknowledges that the nature of the Company’s business is such that protection of its proprietary and confidential information is critical to its survival and success.

  • RESTRICTION ON OUTSIDE EMPLOYMENT 55.01 Unless otherwise specified by the Employer as being in an area that could represent a conflict of interest, employees shall not be restricted in engaging in other employment outside the hours they are required to work for the Employer.

  • Restriction of Employee Status The status of all employees covered by this Agreement shall be defined under one of the preceding three (3) definitions. If a dispute arises over the proper allocation of employee status, such dispute shall be resolved through Article 9.04

  • Duration of Employment 5.1 A seafarer shall be engaged for the period specified in Appendix 1 to this Agreement and such period may be extended or reduced by the amount shown in Appendix 1 for operational convenience. The employment shall be automatically terminated upon the terms of this Agreement at the first arrival of the ship in port after expiration of that period, unless the Company operates a permanent employment system.

  • Termination of Employment Executive's employment hereunder may be terminated under the following circumstances:

  • Outside Employment Employees may engage in other employment outside of their State working hours so long as the outside employment does not involve a conflict of interest with their State employment. Whenever it appears that any such outside employment might constitute a conflict of interest, the employee is expected to consult with his/her appointing authority or other appropriate agency representative prior to engaging in such outside employment. Employees of agencies where there are established procedures concerning outside employment for the purpose of insuring compliance with specific statutory restrictions on outside employment are expected to comply with such procedures.

  • Death or Disability The Executive's employment shall terminate automatically upon the Executive's death during the Employment Period. If the Company determines in good faith that the Disability of the Executive has occurred during the Employment Period (pursuant to the definition of Disability set forth below), it may give to the Executive written notice in accordance with Section 12(b) of this Agreement of its intention to terminate the Executive's employment. In such event, the Executive's employment with the Company shall terminate effective on the 30th day after receipt of such notice by the Executive (the "Disability Effective Date"), provided that, within the 30 days after such receipt, the Executive shall not have returned to full-time performance of the Executive's duties. For purposes of this Agreement, "Disability" shall mean the absence of the Executive from the Executive's duties with the Company on a full-time basis for 180 consecutive business days as a result of incapacity due to mental or physical illness which is determined to be total and permanent by a physician selected by the Company or its insurers and acceptable to the Executive or the Executive's legal representative.
