Union President/Vice President/Chief Xxxxxxx. The Employer shall give due consideration to the Union President, Vice President and Chief Xxxxxxx in the carrying out of their duties. When feasible the Employer will be given two working days’ notice of the requested release time. Any request by the Union for a reduction in hours and/or assignments for these officers shall be subject to immediate negotiation between the parties as to such hours and/or assignments and compensation, but in no event shall the Employer be obliged to suffer any financial hardship or to have its work by such officer or chief xxxxxxx unreasonably interfered with as a result of such activity. The Employer shall provide release time to be paid for by the Union of a minimum of one day per week for either the President or Vice President or the Chief Xxxxxxx to conduct Union business. No benefits or other matters related to compensation will be impacted as a consequence of this provision.

Such duties do not include those which are performed by shop stewards for agencies other than those covered by this Agreement.
