Common use of Unpaid Absences Clause in Contracts

Unpaid Absences. Except as where specified in the rule of the Fund, contributions by the Employer in respect of unpaid absences will be proportional to the wage received by the employee concerned in a particular pay period. For the purposes of this Clause, each pay period will stand alone. Accordingly, unpaid absences in one pay period will not carry over to another pay period.
