Use of Accrued Leaves on or After February. 20, 2011. For injuries and illnesses occurring on or after February 20, 2011, following the 270 calendar days from the date of sickness or injury, cumulative leave balances may be granted to supplement temporary disability payments to provide the disabled employee a total of seventy five percent (75%) of salary. In the event that the period of such incapacity shall exceed 14 calendar days, the employee so incapacitated shall be granted industrial sick leave with pay at the rate of one hundred percent (100%) of his/her normal salary for the first three calendar days of such incapacity. If the period of such incapacity does not exceed 14 calendar days, the employee so incapacitated will be eligible to receive cumulative sick leave pay, or any other accrued paid leave for scheduled work days as provided in subsection 11.E. (Sick Leave – Days or Fractions of Days) hereof, for the first three work days of such disability.

  • Annual Leave Accrual If an employee leaves State Classified employment and is later rehired, he/she shall accrue annual leave at the same rate as a new hire. However, once a rehired employee has been in pay status for five (5) years, all previous service time shall be credited for annual leave accrual. The only exception shall be for employees rehired who repay severance pay received.

  • Leave of Absence for Full-Time Union or Public Duties An employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or anybody with which the Union is affiliated, or who is elected to public office, shall be granted leave of absence without pay and without loss of seniority.

  • Annual Leave Exclusive of Public Holidays The period of annual leave prescribed by this clause is exclusive of any public holidays, and if any such holiday falls within an employee’s period of annual leave and is observed on a day which in the case of that employee would have been an ordinary working day, there will be added to the period of annual leave time equivalent to the ordinary time which the employee would have worked if such day had not been a holiday.

  • Sick Leave to Establish EI Maternity Benefits If the Employee will be able to establish a new EI Maternity Benefit claim in the six weeks immediately following the birth of her child through access to sick leave at 100% of her regular salary, she shall be eligible for up to six weeks leave at 100% of her regular salary without deduction from the sick days or short term disability leave days (remainder of six weeks topped-up as SEB).

  • Unpaid Leave - After Three Years For every three (3) years' continuous service, an employee may request, in writing, an extended unpaid leave of absence, giving the longest possible advance notice. Every reasonable effort shall be made to comply with such requests providing that replacements to ensure proper operation of the Employer's business can be found. Notice of the Employer's decision shall be in writing.
