USGS. At the request of NMNH, USGS will temporarily house and care for the Materials in [USGS location or Center] until all Materials are deposited at NMNH. While housed by USGS, collections may be culled and/or enhanced by USGS staff through specific curation projects; provided however, that such projects must be approved in advance by NMNH staff to ensure data continuity and integrity. While housed by USGS, USGS will provide access to the Materials as requested by NMNH and will make loans of the Materials as requested by NMNH. NMNH and USGS. NMNH and USGS will continue to be partners in ensuring the scientific data for the Materials are accessible to the broader scientific community. NMNH and USGS will share access to associated records contained within the Materials through [describe, such as shared database, etc.].

USGS. USGS serves the nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth, minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy and mineral resources; and enhance and protect our quality of life. USGS shall provide technical personnel and resources to AFSPC to facilitate the purpose and scope of this agreement. Participation from USGS is provided by following the USGS mission to meet AFSPC requirements. USGS conducts research, monitoring and assessments to contribute to understanding America's land, water and biological resources. USGS provides reliable, impartial information to the citizens of this country and to the global community in the form of maps, data and reports containing analyses and interpretations of water, energy, mineral and biological resources, land surfaces, marine environments, geologic structures, natural hazards and dynamic processes of the Earth. USGS data and information are used daily by managers, planners and citizens to understand, respond to and plan for changes in the environment.
USGS. When the US Bureau of Mines closed in 1996, the USGS assumed many duties for that agency and may also have retained their records; and
USGS. The USGS was established by the Organic Act of March 3, 1879 (20 Stat. 394, 43 U.S.C. 3) which provided for "The classification of the public lands and the examination of the geological structure, mineral resources, and products of the National Domain." Among its broad responsibilities and efforts are identification, assessment, and monitoring of potentially hazardous areas; development of capabilities to predict the time, place, and the severity of hazardous geologic and hydrologic events; and dissemination of the findings and their implications, including the provision of technical and scientific advice to public officials. The USGS also maintains Bureau-wide efforts intended 'to educate the public about the nature of geologic and hydrologic hazards.
USGS. The USGS’s mission is to monitor, analyze, and predict current and evolving dynamics of complex human and natural Earth-system interactions and to deliver actionable intelligence at scales and timeframes relevant to decision makers. The USGS collects, monitors, analyzes, and provides scientific assessments and data about natural resource conditions, inventories, and issues. In accordance with the Energy Act of 2020, and subject to the availability of appropriated funds and budget priorities, USGS agrees to provide such services and expertise and to coordinate with the BLM RECOs to facilitate expedited Federal Agency Reviews and decision making for eligible projects, as appropriate.

Notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 7 and 14, income derived by a resident of a Contracting State as an entertainer, such as a theatre, motion picture, radio or television artiste, or a musician, or as a sportsperson, from his personal activities as such exercised in the other Contracting State, may be taxed in that other State. 2. Where income in respect of personal activities exercised by an entertainer or a sportsperson in his capacity as such accrues not to the entertainer or sportsperson himself but to another person, that income may, notwithstanding the provisions of Articles 7 and 14, be taxed in the Contracting State in which the activities of the entertainer or sportsperson are exercised.
