Vacation Duty Assignment‌. A Flight Attendant will have the right to refuse a duty assignment on a vacation day that has been published. If a Flight Attendant accepts flight duty on a vacation day, they will receive regular credited flight time for the day worked and per diem will be payable in accordance with Article 14.01. the displaced vacation day will: a) Be replaced no later than the end of the next block; b) Be paid two (2) times their regular hourly rate. This payment will be in addition to the regular credited time earned for the day. The regular credited flight time earned on a vacation day assignment is not counted in hours worked when calculating overtime hours. c) Vacation days that are required to maintain regulatory time free from duty requirements are not subject to displacement or replacement; and d) If, due to Unforeseen Operational Circumstances, a duty day extends into a vacation day past 2359 hours local home base time, it will be replaced or bought out at the Flight Attendant’s choice in accordance with the above stated Article. The Article does not apply to mutual switches.

  • Extra Duty Assignments The Joint Study Committee hereby recommends the following as guidelines for extra duty assignments:

  • LIGHT DUTY ASSIGNMENTS 1. In the event a clerk requests a light duty assignment, in writing, management must contact the President, Lehigh Valley Area Local to discuss such request.

  • Overtime Assignment A. In institutional settings when the Agency determines that overtime is necessary, overtime shall be offered on a rotating basis, to the qualified employees who usually work the shift where the opportunity occurs. If no qualified employees on the shift desire to work the overtime, it will be offered on a rotating basis first to the qualified employee with the most state seniority at the work site. When there are no volunteers to work the overtime as outlined above, and/or where an emergency exists, reasonable overtime hours may be required by the Agency. Such overtime shall be assigned, on a rotating basis, first to the qualified employee with the least state seniority at the work site. This policy shall not apply to overtime work which is specific to a particular employee’s claim load or specialized work assignment or when the incumbent is required to finish a work assignment.

  • Shift Assignment A. Permanent full-time school-site custodians shall be given a 20-workday notice of a change in shift assignment. Where the change in shift assignment constitutes a hardship, the employee may request a transfer, pursuant to the provisions of Article X, Section 1(E). Shift changes shall not be made in an arbitrary or capricious manner.

  • Teaching Assignment All actively employed teachers will be notified no later than June 30 of their tentative class and/or subject assignment for the forthcoming year. Changes in assignment made after August 15 will be made only after a conference with the teacher provided the teacher is readily available for such a conference. When developing the master schedule, school administrators will use reasonable criteria in attempting to balance class assignments, teacher preparations, room and responsibility assignments within the limitations of specific departments, subjects, grade levels, facilities, and personnel.

  • Work Assignment 1. It is understood that the assignment of work to purchased services does not convey a right to such work in the future, nor does it create any precedent with respect to future assignment of such work to purchased service employees by the employer.

  • Acting Assignment Pay 181. Employees assigned by the Appointing Officer or its designee to perform a substantial portion of the duties and responsibilities of a higher classification shall receive compensation at a higher salary if all of the following conditions are met:

  • Employees on Long Term Supply Assignments Employees completing long term supply assignments may only access sick leave and short term disability leave in the fiscal year in which the allocation was provided. Any remaining allocation may be used in subsequent long term supply assignments, provided these occur within the same fiscal year. Employees employed in a Long Term Supply Assignment which is less than the ordinary period of employment for the position shall have their sick leave and short term disability allocations pro-rated accordingly. Where the length of the long term supply assignment is not known in advance, a projected length must be determined at the start of the assignment in order for the appropriate allocation of sick leave/short term disability leave to occur. If a change is made to the length of the assignment, an adjustment will be made to the allocation and applied retroactively.

  • Assignment Pay Assignment pay is a premium added to the base salary and is intended to be used only as long as the skills, duties or circumstances it is based on are in effect. The Employer may grant assignment pay to a position to recognize specialized skills, assigned duties, and/or unique circumstances that exceed the ordinary. The Employer determines which positions qualify for the premium. The Employer will give the Union notice in accordance with Article 34, Mandatory Subjects.
