Vacation Entitlement for Police Dispatchers. A full-time Police Dispatcher shall accrue vacation entitlement for work in the Bargaining Unit according to his/her seniority as follows: LENGTH OF SERVICE VACATION HOURS ACCRUE PER PAY PERIOD 4.0 to 9.0 years 4.92 Hours 9.0 to 14.0 years 5.85 Hours 14.0 years and over 7.38 Hours A regular part-time Police Dispatcher will accrue paid vacation time in the same proportion as his/ her work schedule bears to a full-time work schedule. Although accrual of vacation time during the first six (6) months of continuous service is permitted, the Police Dispatcher shall not be entitled to consume vacation during the first six (6) months of his/her twelve (12) month probationary period. Police Dispatchers who fail to successfully complete six (6) months of their probationary period shall forfeit any accruals of vacation rights otherwise provided by this section. Vacation time does not accrue while the employee is receiving short term disability (STD) or long term disability (LTD).
