Accrual of Vacation Time. (a) (1) Eligible employees who are on the forty (40) hour per week payroll shall accrue 10 vacation hours per month for each completed month of continuous fulltime service except that employees who have completed twenty (20) years of service shall accrue thirteen and thirty-three (13.33) vacation hours for each completed month of continuous full-time service.
Accrual of Vacation Time. Vacation leave may be accrued by unit members to the limit of the number of days which represents the equivalent of earned vacation for a period of two (2) years. (Maximum earned vacation time allowed would be 44-days for a 20-year unit member) A review of unit member’s vacation accrual will occur on June 30 of each year. Any unit member who has accumulated vacation days in excess of the 2-year maximum allocation will have his/her vacation balance reviewed on a monthly basis and will not receive an allocation until his/her cap has been reached. At that time, the days will be allocated through the remainder of the year.

Accrual of Vacation Time. Members shall accrue vacation leave by pay period at the annual rate set forth in Section 2, below, based upon years of continuous full-time service. A Member may not use any accrued vacation until completion of one (1) year of continuous active service.

(b) In computing the effective date of an employee’s accrual rate, all service time accepted for purposes of computing longevity payments to such employee shall apply.
(c) Vacation leave starts to accrue with the first working day of the first full calendar month after date of commencement of employment and is credited to the eligible employee on the completion of the calendar month.
(d) No leave shall accrue for any calendar month in which an employee is on leave of absence without pay for more than an aggregate of three (3) working days.
(e) Unused vacation may accumulate to a maximum of the hourly equivalent of eight hundred forty (840) hours. After an employee has attained this maximum accrual, vacation hours shall begin to reaccrue when some of the leave is taken.
