Vacation Scheduling. The Employer shall post a vacation scheduling calendar on December 1 of each year for the following calendar year. On or around December 1, employees shall be permitted to schedule their annual vacation based upon their classification seniority. Non prescheduled vacation leave reqeusts on a “blacked-out” holiday will be denied. Approved vacation leave on a “blacked-out” holiday may be cancelled due to emergency circumstances.

Vacation Scheduling. The Employer vacation period will be the entire year. The employee will, subject to the University's operating requirements, have his/her choice of vacation time; it being recognized, however, that vacations must be scheduled by the University in a manner designed to insure the effective and efficient operation of the University, including staffing needs. No part of an employee's scheduled vacation may be charged to sick time. The University may restrict the amount of vacation time granted to an employee during prime vacation periods to allow for equitable distribution of prime vacation time among employees. Vacation Scheduling. The Employer shall post City and Union agree and acknowledge that they utilize a vacation scheduling schedule based upon a calendar on year (i.e. January 1 to December 31). Vacation Scheduling. The Employer On or before December of each year, the Company shall post a vacation scheduling calendar on leave schedule for each classification and department comprised of fifty-two (52) one (1) week blocks commencing the first week of January and ending the last full week of December 1 of each year for the following calendar year. On or around December 1Said scheduled shall be posted for no fewer than four (4)weeks. All vacation requests submitted after January 31 will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis subject to the operational needs of the employer as outlined in Paragraph C of this Articlean employee’s anniversary date. Employees may schedule and take PTO as vacation leaveto the extent it has been earned. Vacations shall be scheduled by the Employer in such a way as will least interfere with the functions of the department and the continuity of patient care. The Employer will make a good faith effort to secure adequate staffing to provide improved vacation scheduling opportunities. Vacations shall be scheduled in the Nursing Department by work unit. A vacation- scheduling chart will be posted in each unit from January 1, even if they do not have through February 14 that covers the time vacation period of May 15 through May 14 of the following year. Employees who fail to register their credit at vacation selection during the time period of posting will forfeit their seniority rights concerning vacation schedules. Where vacation conflicts with the rotation of holidays, and/or the day before and the day after those holidays, individual holiday rotation shall take precedence. Vacation Scheduling. (a) Accredited vacation period shall be from May to September 30th of each year. Employees may make written requests for vacation within such period, indicating their respective choice on a notice posted for this purpose by the Centre prior to March Vacations may be taken at other of the year, with the consent of the Centre, provided that staffing requirements of the Centre permit. When employees in a particular working group, as defined by the Centre, desire the same or overlapping vacation period, which is not possible because of the staff requirements of the the seniority of the employees directly shall govern any assignment of vacations provided that in the event that the employee with the seniority had the same vacation period in the preceding year he not be awarded the contested vacation period but such vacation period shall be awarded to the employee next in order of seniority. Vacation Scheduling. The Employer shall post City and Union agree and acknowledge that they utilize a vacation scheduling schedule based upon a calendar on year (i.e. January 1 to December 31). The effective vacation schedule period shall be referred to herein as the “Vacation Year.” On January 1, 2013, members received eight-twelfths of their normal number of vacation hours (rounded up to the nearest full hour). On January 1 of each subsequent year, Members shall be entitled to the full compliment of vacation hours as listed in the table above. Employees shall only be allowed to use vacation time, including holiday vacation time, which has been already earned the previous vacation year (plus any carryover hours permitted hereunder). Vacation Scheduling. Other than in the first incomplete calendar year, as of January 1, each employee shall have one full calendar year's entitlement available to him/her to take any time within that calendar year. Employees who wish to take their vacation in two periods instead of one unbroken period may do so subject to the following: The periods are a minimum of one full week or multiples of a full week. For the purposes of this clause, a week is considered to be the normal business week in operation at the branch or office. No more than one week of vacation can be taken as individual days. Employees shall select their vacation periods in order of seniority as defined in this agreement. However, only one vacation period shall be selected by seniority until all employees in the signing group have had the opportunity to select one vacation period. Vacation Scheduling. The Employer shall post employee will, subject to the University's operating requirements, have his/her their choice of vacation time; it being recognized, however, that vacations must be scheduled by the University in a manner designed to insure the effective and efficient operation of the University, including staffing needs. No part of an employee's scheduled vacation scheduling may be charged to sick time. After successful completion of the initial probationary period, vacation allowance must be taken by the end of the calendar on December year following the calendar year in which it was accrued. An employee may carry a maximum of one (1) year of earned vacation allowance forward into the next succeeding year.
