Common use of Vacations and Paid Holidays Clause in Contracts

Vacations and Paid Holidays. All vacations must be taken at a time satisfactory to the Company but employees shall have the opportunity so far as the scheduling of work permits, to choose their vacation times, and preference shall be considered in the order of department seniority. An employee, whose vacation is split, may use his seniority as a basis of preference for only one (1) continuous period. Any vacation entitlement that an employee has failed to schedule by January 1 of the holiday year, may be scheduled by the department.
