PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. The College shall grant as paid statutory holidays: New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, B.C. Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and all other such holidays as declared by the local Municipal Government, Province of British Columbia, or Government of Canada.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. No nurse shall have his/her salary reduced by reason of observance of the following holidays: New Year’s Day Civic Holiday Family Day Labour Day Good Friday Thanksgiving Day Easter Monday Christmas Day Victoria Day Boxing Day Canada Day 1 Floating Day The floating holiday referred to above shall be scheduled with the approval of the appropriate Director and upon request may be scheduled as two (2) half (½) days.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 16.01 The following days shall be considered paid holidays; New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Saskatchewan Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.
16.02 In addition to those days set forth in Article 16.01, any other day proclaimed as a statutory holiday by Federal or Provincial governments shall be deemed to be a paid holiday for the purpose of this Agreement. Should a statutory holiday fall on a regularly scheduled day off, employees shall elect payment as per this Agreement.
16.03 In each pay period the Employer will pay each non-full-time employee an amount equal to 4.23% of his/her salary for that period.
16.04 Full-time employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate of pay for designated holidays.
16.05 Should an employee perform work on any of the statutory holidays in Articles 16.01 or 16.02, he/she shall, in addition to receiving his/her holiday pay as per Articles 16.03 or 16.04, be paid one and one-half times (1½ x) his/her regular rate for all hours worked on the day.
16.06 Employees with one (1) year of service will be allowed one (1) floating holiday to be taken in the calendar year that the employee becomes eligible and each calendar year thereafter.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 7.01 The following days shall be considered paid holidays with no deductions in pay: New Year’s Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Saskatchewan Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and one other additional day per year to be designated annually. The parties agree that other religious or culturally significant days may be substituted for any of the above. Administration of this provision shall be subject to discussion and negotiation in the Union/Management Consultation Committee provided in Letter of Understanding #1.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 9.01 All employees shall receive their regular day's pay (eight hour shift workers will receive eight (8) hours pay, and ten (10) hour shift workers will receive ten (10) hours pay for the following Statutory Holidays when not worked. This condition is subject to the employee working the regular scheduled work day immediately previous and the regular scheduled work day following the holiday. New Year' Family Day Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday (August) Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day One-half day Christmas Eve (2nd half of regular shift) One-half day New Year's Eve (2nd half of regular shift) Employees must be in the employ of the Company for at least sixty (60) calendar days before being eligible for full Statutory Holiday pay. All employees with less than 60 days will be paid as per employment standards.
9.02 Employees required to work on any paid Statutory Holidays shall be paid at the rate of double time (2X) for all hours worked plus pay for the holiday.
9.03 When a paid Statutory Holiday falls within the vacation period of the employee, then the employee shall be granted either an extra day's pay or have an extra day off with pay, whichever is suitable to the Company.
9.04 The first eight (8) hours of overtime scheduled a minimum of 3 days in advance on the 6th day of the standard work week will be paid at the rate of time and one- half (1½). The Company may cancel the scheduled overtime when circumstances arise that are beyond the Company’s control. Scheduled overtime will be distributed fairly based on seniority, ability and efficiency.

15.02 In addition to those days set forth in Article 15.01, any other day proclaimed by federal or provincial governments shall be deemed to be a paid holiday for the purpose of this Agreement. Should a statutory holiday fall on a regularly scheduled day off, employees shall be entitled to another working day in lieu of the statutory holiday.
15.03 Should an employee perform work on any of the statutory holidays in 15.01 or 15.02, they shall receive in addition to their holiday pay, one and one-half (1 1/2) times their regular rate for all hours worked on the day.
15.04 In each pay period, the Employer will pay each part-time employee an amount equal to 4.61% of their salary for that period.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. (a) An employee who voluntarily works on a statutory holiday must be paid for that day:
(1) 1½ times the employee’s regular wage for the time worked up to twelve (12) hours, and
(2) double the employee’s regular wage for any time worked over twelve (12) hours.
PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 11.01 The company agrees to pay for the following Statutory Holidays: New Year’s Day Christmas Day
(A) Work performed one hundred (100) kilometers or more from the central point Labour Centre, Thunder Bay or Employer’s place of business, the employee may waive the forty hour per week restriction and work at straight time rates.

PAID STATUTORY HOLIDAYS. 18.01 The Employer agrees to pay all regular employees at their regular rates of pay, for the normal number of hours of work on each of the following public holidays, whether they work or not on such holiday, and such hours paid will be considered as hours worked for the purposes of calculating overtime. Employees must work the last scheduled workday prior to the holiday and their first scheduled workday after the holiday in order to be eligible for holiday pay, unless reasons for absence satisfactory to the Company have been established. The Company will apply the provisions of the Employment Standards Act when calculating statutory holiday pay for probationary employees: New Year’s Day Family Day Good Friday Victoria Day Canada Day Civic Holiday Labour Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day Boxing Day One (1) paid floater, each year of the contract, to be scheduled as mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.
(a) An employee who works on a statutory holiday must be paid for that day:
(1) 1½ times the employee’s regular wage for the time worked up to eleven (11) hours, and
(2) double the employee’s regular wage for any time worked over eleven (11) hours.
(b) The employer must schedule the day off with pay:
(1) before the employee’s annual vacation,
(2) before the date of employment terminates, or
(3) or within six (6) months after the date of the statutory holiday, whichever is earliest.
