Voluntary Service. It is agreed that the Sheriff may determine that it is in the public interest to utilize volunteers to assist the Department in carrying out its mission (Search and Rescue, etc.). No volunteers shall be assigned to permanently replace or displace any bargaining unit Employees.

Voluntary Service. Bargaining unit members, who have been employed for at least six (6) months and have applied for and received approval from their direct supervisors, shall be eligible to provide approved voluntary services. on site, in communities within the Commonwealth, during approved working hours, for a maximum of up to one (1) day (7.5 or 8 hours) per month, and without loss of salary or benefits, in order to assist in the improvement of our state. Part-time employees are eligible to participate in the program on a pro-rated basis, (i.e., the maximum number of volunteer hours allowed per month are pro-rated in accordance with the number of hours that the employee works per month).
Voluntary Service. Youth are encouraged to serve in VS units and missions supported by the congregation, with counsel from parents and church leaders.
Voluntary Service. Duties, identified in Sections 3.1 and 3.2 of Article 3 of this Agreement and Appendices C1 and C2 shall be rendered on a voluntary basis. If, however, no unit member volunteers the Building Principal may assign a unit member to the duty. For vacancies listed in Appendix C3 highly qualified unit members will be given rights of first refusal. The most qualified candidate will be determined by the Superintendent after consultation with the Athletic Manager.

Volunteer agrees that he or she is volunteering in Pima County/UA POD solely for personal, civil, educational, charitable or humanitarian purposes without promise or expectation of compensation, benefits or future employment with the University beyond any specified reimbursement agreements. Volunteer acknowledges that he or she is not an employee of the University. If Volunteer becomes an employee of the University while serving as a Volunteer, he or she agrees to immediately notify Pima County/UA POD and understands he or she may no longer provide services as a Volunteer or other Designated Campus Colleague.
Voluntary Service. Volunteer understands and acknowledges that he/she may decline any volunteer role or position at any time if he/she feels such role or position presents a risk to health or safety or for any other reason. Volunteer agrees to advise Covered of any preexisting conditions that would preclude involvement in any activity.
Voluntary Service. Members who have served a minimum of twelve (12) months in the Fire Fighting Division may volunteer for assignment with the EMS and as such shall be granted priority over those who are to be “drafted.”
