Common use of Wedding Leave Clause in Contracts

Wedding Leave. Upon successful completion of their probationary period, the Employer shall grant a regular full-time and regular part-time nurse three (3) consecutive calendar days off with pay during the week immediately prior to her marriage or thereafter, subject to five (5) weeks written notice in advance. The three (3) calendar days leave with pay may be added to any period of annual leave available or may be taken separately at the nurse's option, in any case the said leave must be taken by no later than March 31st of the subsequent year or it shall be lost to the nurse. Regular part-time employees are eligible for wedding leave on a pro-rata basis.
