Witness Leave. Where an employee is called as witness in a private capacity for a criminal or traffic case up to three days’ paid leave may be granted. The employee is to recover fees and expenses from the party calling the witness, and repay the fees to the Ministry. Where an employee is called as a witness in a private capacity for other than a criminal or traffic case, annual leave or leave without pay may be granted. The employee is to pay any expenses incurred and is to retain such fees and expenses as may be awarded by the Court.
