Work Beyond the Duty Day. 1. Elementary music; elementary physical education; Middle School Music, Band, and Orchestra teachers, not covered by a supplemental salary, who are required to be present for performances under their direction and beyond the duty day will be compensated at a rate of $25.00 per hour. The same teachers will voucher time beyond the duty day to plan and produce programs at $25.00 an hour.

Work Beyond the Duty Day. Elementary music and physical education teachers who are required to be present for performances under their direction and beyond the duty day will be compensated at the rate of $18.50 per hour. Elementary music teachers will voucher time beyond the duty day used to plan and produce programs at $18.50 per hour. All Special Education and ELL teachers may voucher up to three (3) hours during the week prior to the first student report day to compensate for lost classroom time due to state mandated professional development. Teachers from any level who are required to attend IEP/504 meetings outside the duty day will be compensated at the rate of $18.50 per hour. Parent Teacher Conferences/Orientation: Parent teacher conferences will be held each semester. Each individual building will draft a conference plan and submit those plans to the Teaching and Learning Department (a committee will be formed within the building to determine the plan). Individual schools will determine the dates and times of their parent teacher conferences to meet the needs of their families, by majority vote (without designated conference week). The date of parent teacher conferences and orientation sessions, and where applicable the date of release times, will be established in the Spring of the prior year or no later than the first ten (10) days of the current school year, by majority building vote. The times established for second semester parent teacher conferences may be adjusted within the first ten (10) days of the second semester by majority building vote. Elementary and Middle school conferences will be 12.50 hours; High School conferences will be 6.25 hours. Compensation for this time will be accomplished by releasing the faculty for an equal amount of time on days designated on the calendar as parent teacher conference day or parent teacher compensation day, providing students are not in session. The Board may, however, at any time, change the manner of parent teacher conferences, but only as to future conferences for which it has not previously given its approval. Upon the written request of either party, a joint committee of teachers and administrators shall be appointed by the Superintendent and/or designee to revise guidelines for the implementation of conference scheduling and parent orientation.   • Factors Beyond the HSP’s Control Despite the foregoing, if the Funder, acting reasonably, determines that the Performance Factor is, in whole or in part, a Factor Beyond the HSP’s Control:

  • Duty Day Duty Day shall mean a day included in the university calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in this Agreement.

  • Emergency School Closing 24.1 If as determined by the Superintendent, circumstances of weather, energy crisis, power failure, lack of water or heat, work stoppage, epidemic or other civil or natural emergencies, including threats or acts of violence, make it impossible or unsafe to open the schools or to keep open a school or schools, then the Superintendent shall act in such emergency situations to preserve and protect the lives and property of pupils and staff personnel. Such absence(s) shall not result in loss of pay or accumulated leave days to the teacher.

  • Events Beyond Our Control If an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and prevents Us from performing any of Our obligations under this Contract to any extent, then We are not required to perform that obligation to the extent and for as long as We are prevented by that Event Beyond Our Control. If such an Event Beyond Our Control occurs and We consider it appropriate to do so, We may notify You of the Event Beyond Our Control by any reasonable means, including by a public announcement.

  • Purchaser’s Conditions The respective obligation of each Purchaser to consummate the purchase of the Purchased Units shall be subject to the satisfaction on or prior to the Closing Date of each of the following conditions (any or all of which may be waived by such Purchaser in writing, in whole or in part with respect to its Purchased Units, to the extent permitted by applicable Law):

  • SERS PICK-UP A. For purposes of this Article, total annual salary and salary per pay period for each member shall be the salary otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended. The total annual salary and salary per pay period of each member shall be payable by the Board in two parts: (1) deferred salary and (2) cash salary. A member’s deferred salary shall be equal to that percentage of said member’s total annual salary or salary per pay period which is required from time to time by the State Employment Retirement System (“SERS”) to be paid as an employee contribution by said member and shall be paid by the Board to SERS on behalf of said member as a “pickup” of the SERS employee contribution otherwise payable by said member. A member’s cash salary shall be equal to said member’s total annual salary or salary per pay period less the amount, subject to applicable payroll deductions, to said member. The Board’s total combined expenditures for members’ total annual salaries otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended, (including pickup amounts) and its employer contributions to SERS shall not be greater than the amounts it would have paid for those items had this provision not been in effect.
