Xxxxx Waste Program. Collector shall deliver to each occupied residence in the City that receives Standard Collection Service one (1) 90-gallon Green Waste Container suitable for automated collection, for the temporary accumulation and collection of Green Waste. Collector shall also offer the option of one (1) 60- gallon Green Waste Container, suitable for automated collection, to senior citizens or physically challenged Residential Customers who so request. Collector shall collect all Green Waste placed for collection in Green Waste Containers on all regularly scheduled collection days. Collector shall provide additional Green Waste Containers to each Residential Customer who sets Green Waste Materials out for collection and who requests additional Green Waste Containers. The first and second Green Containers shall be provided by Collector at no additional charge to Residential Customers or City. Any additional Green Waste Containers shall be provided by Collector for the additional charge specified in Exhibit A. Collector, at Collector’s expense, shall repair or replace damaged Green Waste Containers. Collector, at Collector’s expense, shall replace Green Waste Containers that a Residential Customer has reported to the police as having been stolen. Collector shall also collect and recycle all Christmas trees that are free of flocking and other decorations, and that have been set out for collection during the period beginning on the first collection day after Christmas and ending on the third Saturday after Christmas. Pursuant to AB 1594, the state will no longer allow Green Waste to be counted towards diversion requirements when used as alternative daily cover (“ADC”) effective January 1, 2020. So long as state and local regulations continue to allow Green Waste to be counted towards diversion requirements when used as ADC, collected Green Waste shall be diverted from disposal in a manner consistent with such applicable state and local regulations. Given the regulations outlined pursuant to AB 1594 regarding the use of Green Waste as ADC, by January 1, 2019, Collector shall develop for City consideration diversion alternatives to ensure that the City remains in compliance with all State mandated diversion levels. Upon development of the diversion alternatives plan, the City and Collector shall meet and confer to discuss diversion alternatives and negotiate an adjustment to the Service Rates to account for any such alternatives utilized.

Xxxxx Waste Program. The Contractor agrees to develop, implement, operate and participate (locally and regionally) in mulching, composting, transformation or other programs toward maximizing the City's Green Waste diversion. In particular, the Contractor agrees to accomplish the programs set out in this Agreement and to be aggressive in the pursuit of new opportunities to divert Green Waste from Disposal. Best efforts shall be made by the Contractor to divert as much Green Waste from Disposal as possible.

  • Safety Program The Contractor shall design a specific safety program for the Work for the site(s). The Contractor shall establish and require all Subcontractors to establish reasonable safety programs. The Contractor shall also submit its standard monthly safety reports to the Owner and Design Professional. No imposition of responsibility on the Contractor for safety under this Contract shall relieve any subcontractor of its responsibility for safety of persons or property on or near the Project Site. The Contractor shall include in his plant he names of the person in charge of Safety.

  • Health and Safety Plan Consultant shall prepare and submit a Health and Safety Plan (“HASP”) for the portion of Consultant’s work that will involve field work, assessments, or investigations of certain Project elements. The HASP shall describe how Consultant plans to complete field work, assessments, and/or investigations at the RWF. Consultant’s HASP must comply with the CIP HASP and shall be updated as new conditions are encountered.

  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Contractor understands that HHS does not tolerate any type of fraud, waste, or abuse. Violations of law, agency policies, or standards of ethical conduct will be investigated, and appropriate actions will be taken. Pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 321.022, if the administrative head of a department or entity that is subject to audit by the state auditor has reasonable cause to believe that money received from the state by the department or entity or by a client or contractor of the department or entity may have been lost, misappropriated, or misused, or that other fraudulent or unlawful conduct has occurred in relation to the operation of the department or entity, the administrative head shall report the reason and basis for the belief to the Texas State Auditor’s Office (SAO). All employees or contractors who have reasonable cause to believe that fraud, waste, or abuse has occurred (including misconduct by any HHS employee, Grantee officer, agent, employee, or subcontractor that would constitute fraud, waste, or abuse) are required to immediately report the questioned activity to the Health and Human Services Commission's Office of Inspector General. Contractor agrees to comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and System Agency policies regarding fraud, waste, and abuse including, but not limited to, HHS Circular C-027.   • Quality Management System Supplier hereby undertakes, warrants and confirms, and will ensue same for its subcontractors, to remain certified in accordance with ISO 9001 standard or equivalent. At any time during the term of this Agreement, the Supplier shall, if so instructed by ISR, provide evidence of such certifications.   • Waste Management o Participate in recycling using the Harvard Recycles receptacles provided. Recyclable materials include paper, cardboard, glass bottles, cans, plastics 1-7, as well as fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, chemicals, cartridges and electronics. o Designate a space for employees to leave surplus or shared office supplies to reduce redundant purchases. o Arrange for surplus furniture and other large office items to be delivered to Harvard’s Recycling and Surplus Center for reuse. Occupant Education and Engagement o Install or enable software that powers down computers when not in use, and ensure that all computer monitors have a “sleep mode” enabled. o Ensure that every employee has a power strip and turns the strip with an “off” switch for electronic devices. o Encourage staff to use task lighting that accommodates fluorescent bulbs, rather than halogen lamps. o Provide mugs or encourage staff to bring their own reusable mugs, plates, and utensils for the kitchen area. Keep the kitchen area stocked with dish cleaning supplies if a dishwasher is not available. o Start a physical or electronic bulletin board for “green tips”, news, and ideas. o Ask the Property Manager for training to properly operate controls, including shades, lights, thermostats, etc. o Advise employees to dress appropriately for the weather as building temperatures will be set at the lowest or highest end of the ASHRAE standard range depending on the outside temperature.

  • Contingency Plan Contractor is aware that unforeseen circumstances, Including damage to their Facility(ies), equipment breakdowns, weather-related emergencies and other Force Majeur events, may require their participation in non-scheduled operations in order to provide continuous service to the public. Contractor hereby acknowledges that, under this Agreement, they are prepared to commit to participation in training for such emergency scenarios and to provide vehicles and personnel to maintain uninterrupted service during impairment or breakdown of Contractor’s Facility or equipment, and in case of natural disaster or other emergency, Including the events described in Section 14.09.
