Authorized Military Leave of Absence definition

Authorized Military Leave of Absence means any absence due to service in the Armed Forces of the United States, upon completion of which the Employee is entitled under any applicable Federal law to reemployment at the termination of such military service, provided that he returns to the service of the Companies within the period provided for by such applicable Federal law or such further period as may be established by the Administrator. As used in this paragraph, the term "Armed Forces of the United States" excludes the Merchant Marine.

The Hours of Service credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall be those which would normally have been credited but for such absence, or, in any case in which the Administrator is unable to determine such hours normally credited, eight (8) Hours of Service per day. The total Hours of Service required to be credited for a "maternity or paternity leave of absence" shall not exceed 501.
